I would say that it was awesome except for that lame..lame...Women's title match! They didn't even use the lumberjills...and it was over faster than yours truly doing the deed with the wife...but I wanted Booker to win the MITB until Kennedy blasted the dwarf from the ladder!! Then...it was Mister Kennedy all the way! Not upset about the Knali/Kane match-it was filler and it progressed that way...Unertaker winning upset me but at least we can see some decent talent defend the Smackdown strap of junk...MVP put on a good show and Benoit showed why the Wolverine is one of the best in the business...Umaga/StoneCold was hillarious especially when Trump's hair parted afetr being stunned...Cena/HBK match was great! Although I was wondering why Cena didn't limp on his knee after having it basically crushed for fifeteen minutes or so-and I am glad Cena won the match and was very suprised that HBK didn't get it...I am pleased with the $50 that I spent for the PPV...

on a scale between WM IX and WMIII it falls in the middle IMO I will admit up Front that my opinion is probably biased because I was at Wrestlemania, but I thought this was a 5 STAR show. Wrestlemania 3 was mentioned earlier. I watched that event live on Pay-per-View, but other than the two big matches (and admittedly they are BIG matches) I could not remember anything else from the card. I had to go look it up to see what the other matches were. I believe that Wrestlemania 23 had 4 solid memorable matches. People will remember Jeff Hardy's leap onto Edge, Undertaker winning the World Championship, Vince getting shaved, and Cena making Michaels tap. So for me, Wreslemania 23 had more memorable moments than most of the other Manias.

Wrestling Historians always note that Steamboat v. Savage wasnt suppose to be as big as it has become but they both wanted to steal the show that night and they did!

This was not the best wrestlemaniaof all time, but still deserved 5 stars. It delivered more than expected. I thought WWE title match would be okay, but it was actually very entertaining. So what if Cena no selled the leg, HBK has been know for no selling too.

Wrestlemania as a PPV is above and beyond other PPVs (meaning, if it was on the level of No Mercy or Armageddon it's already 5 star) by default in my opinion... That said, I would give Wrestlemania 3 stars as far as the last 22 go... And Cake, you are biased because you were actually there...to EVERYONE that was there it was a 5 star show...This is by no means a cross against anyone who was there, but the energy, the environment, the crowd, and the magnitude of being in the middle of the actual Wrestlemania experience automatically makes it a million times more enjoyable than watching it on TV... This goes to everyone...We cannot realistically fathom how awesome it would have been to be there live...Conversely, that means we can't have enjoyed it as much as those there, and we ALL would have given it 5 stars and said it was the greatest show on Earth if we'd been there...That's just the way it is... I was going to say this in the actual Wrestlemania thread, but that whole discussion became retarded, so I didn't get a chance... Thanks Jim...

I give it five stars. I was there, and it was an incredible experience. It was unlike any event I have ever been to.
That said, after re-watching the PPV, I can honestly say that I found every match, other than Melina-Ashley, which was all of about four minutes, to be very good or better. Even Kane-Khali was entertaining simply because Kane picked up Khali and gave him a legitimate body slam.
Also, I found the Cena-Michaels match to highly enjoyable. It was a back-and-forth, high drama match. About all I can ask from a match is that it suspend disbelief, appear somewhat realistic and stir excitement. The main event did that.

I'm still waiting on the DVD release, but for me I always enjoy Summerslam more than Wrestlemania. SS always seems to put on a better PPV overall.
