Its a tough pick
I went with Magnum T.A. who if he didn't have that career ending car accident would have been a world champion

This was difficult! T.A., AA, Brody, Piper and Hart were my finalists and had to go with Hart as I see him as the most talented out of the bunch. Cool Poll!

Piper. While not the best wrestler on the list, he certainly was the most entertaining.

I went with Johnny Valentine since he was a three time world champ in my LOW fed. Stupid reason but the one I'll go with. Another candidate would be Scott Hall. I know there is a lot of hate based on what he has become but he is someone who used to be referred to by some as the greatest to never win a title.

Magnum TA was my favorite wrestler at the time of his car crash and there's no doubt that he probably would have been given the nod to win the NWA World title from Ric Flair at Starrcade '86, BUT... Roddy Piper had a full career and then some. He went on to become much more of a mainstream name. Kinda ironic that he spent most of his career as a face when his persona was perfectly suited to be the greatest heel of all time. I'm going with Piper who probably should have at least had a night as a world champion. Makes me wonder why the hell the Piper-Hogan match at Starrcade '96 was booked as a non-title match. That's was sort of like having the main event at WrestleMania be a non-title match.

I went with Hot Rod. Hogan V Piper was a big reason I started watching wrestling.

For a guy who had pretty much the complete package but was never even seriously considered for the world title, Arn Anderson.

Mark me down for Arn Anderson. Outstanding ring technician and great on the mic.

I never saw Magnum TA. I went with Piper, as he was such a big inflluence on the rise of wrestling to the mainstream.

I agree with a previous assessment, great poll. I went with Piper, narrowly, over Anderson. Piper was in more Main Events in his career and involved in more top quality angles. Owen Hart would be third. I liked Orndorff, and thought he should've gotten his due. One would think that Magnum TA would've been a world champion if not for the career ending injury in the 1980s.

A few other LOW names for consideration: Antonino Rocca, Ted DiBiase and The Sheik.
I'd probably say Rocca. It's all about the fans in the seats, and he and Sheik were both such amazing draws that they didn't need a world title.
I think Bobo Brazil was WWA Champion, which was pretty much considered a world title at the time.
