Question about titles

I can't believe I haven't run into this before, but here's the situation:

Just started Sudden Death 2094, New Order just won the beginning of the year tournament that also filled the newly sanctioned "Galaxian Tag Titles." (2nd tier belts). In the first card (always a "blood feud" card for me) they face the Gladiators, current Universal Tag-Team champions.

What do I do depending on who wins? If the Gladiators win, do they just keep their belts? What about New Order, go they get the Universals and then the Galaxian become vacant? Or do they both just get both? Can't believe I can't think of a good resolution for this...thoughts?....Help!!

The secondary titles would normally not be on the line, so if The New Order lost, they'd still hold their belts. Unless of course, you specify that both sets of titles are on the line. For me though, whenever the secondary title holder faces the primary title holder, the secondary belt is of no consequence.

Now if the secondary title holders win the primary belts, I would vacate the secondary title.

I would let them keep both titles. There have been champions in wrestling that have held two titles at the same time.

Ultimate Warrior for one...I believe the only one to have held the I-C and WWF(E) World belt simultaniously...go figure...lol...

In my fed the secondary title belt is not on the line when the champion opposes the Galactic Heavyweight Champ

I agree, the 2nd tier titles should not be on the line, because when you have the big belt, why challenge for the smaller one? If New Order does happen to win, I'd relinquish the other titles for them or if you want to punish them, like if they're heels in their fed, force them to fight twice per card and really get them angry and disgruntled.

Thanks guys. Lucky for everyone, New Order lost by DQ, but Massacre got hurt afterwards causing the New Order to be suspended. That will take some heat out of the rivalry for a while.
