Pretty simple...who is the best announce team in wrestling today?
I listed the shows in order of airdate each week.
My vote EASILY goes to JBL/Cole, as Tazz picked Cole up to the level of "competent" and JBL's even better than Tazz was.

I went with Cole and JBL; JR and JL have seemed board at times the past couple of months.

I haven't watched Smackdown, so I went when JR-Lawler... they spin the company line some times, but JR is still the man

As much as I've really enjoyed JBL's commentary and was glad to hear he reached a deal to stay with the WWE after No Mercy, I selected Ross and Lawler.

For me my heart was saying JR & Lawler . But my head says JBL his priceless on Smackdown .

No contest it's JR & Lawler.
These guys have the best chemistry together.
Cole is maybe the worst announcer of all time and JBL can't make up for him.
2nd would have to be Styles and Tazz. Always liked Tazz's announce work, for a former wrestler. Styles is classic. I hate when he sounds like a, girl though.

Lawler's been bringing his game back up to his a-level lately, but I'm going with JBL and Cole, largely on the back of JBL being the best "in-ring experience" color guy since Ventura. Heenan was awesome, but he lacked the in-ring details that someone like JBL can provide. His being recently active is also a plus and really where he edges out Lawler; Lawler has only wrestled a handful of this generation's wrestlers, whereas JBL has wrestled pretty much all of them.

Personally I'd like Ross and JBL but since I can't get that, Cole and JBL. Lawler just irritates me too much.

Ross & the King are superb. JBL is like listening to an uncle I have. He drives me crazy, that said I like my uncle. JBL & Cole are very good. This is gonna cause a stir but I think Styles is overrated and Tazz is average. Tenay & West, it is brutal some weeks. Makes me wish for McMichael & Uncle Eric.

I do miss Russell and Brown btw. I remember them on USWA towards the end and they were great.

JBL is great, best color guy out there. But I hate Michael Cole, so I have to give it to the Raw team over ECW second.
I'm really glad that no one has voted for the TNA announce team. Don West is attrocious.

Don West is attrocious. Couldn't have said it better myself. JBL is the best (IMO) and Cole just doesn't cut it. ECW and Raw are solid, but RAW has the best chemistry together. I don't necessarily mind Tenay, but West sounds like he's on coke (okay Joe thought of that one, but it's hillarious and absolutely true) |
