Watching the WM compilation, I was curious to see what everyone's favorite WM Main Event match was (for the WM's 1-5)
I'd have to say Savage - DiBiase because it was so unexpected that neither Hogan or Andre advanced in the tournament and I really wasn't sure who was going to win.
All the other ones, you pretty much knew Hogan was coming out on top.

Its a tournament final...so I gotta go with Savage-DiBiase. I remember this main event the most fondly because it was the first Wrestlemania that I watched live. Got the PPV at my house and had about 20 people over, and did my first bracket pool. Good times, good times...

Hogan/Andre. The match helped lead to 90,000+ fans watching wrestling live in D-Town.

Hogan/Bundy was probably the feud that got me hooked on wrestling for life...and their match at WM was the climax. As far as I can remember, its one of my first real clear wrestling memories...I remember the build up to the match, Bundy injuring Hogan on SNME (if I'm not mistaken) and it looking as if Bundy was going to kill him right then and there. This was King Kong Bundy...the guy was scarry (to a kid). Hogan was wrapped up, showing he was clearly hurt...but willing to try and take down this monster.
While I was clearly a fan of Hogan growing up, I think I was a bigger 'fan' of Bundy in this instance and would have been rivited had it been anyone fighting him.

Personally, I am extremely partial to the Hogan-Bundy steel cage main event at WrestleMania 2 because it headlined the first WrestleMania I ever saw as it happened. I still remember how that match was set up on Saturday Night's Main Event in which Hogan's ribs were damaged by multiple avalanches by Bundy with the assistance of Don Muraco. Although in retrospect, I think it may have been the worst WrestleMania between WrestleManias I-V, WrestleMania 2 is still nostalgic to me.
But I picked Hogan vs Andre. Although I figured Hogan would probably win, I remember as a junior high student getting really excited about this match which in my opinion headlined the best WrestleMania between WrestleManias I-V and was arguably the greatest WrestleMania ever.
In second place I would pick the main event between Randy Savage and Ted DiBiase in the tournament finals for the vacant championship. WrestleMania IV was radically different from any of the other Wrestlemanias and the tournament was great and it contained some surprises- such as Greg Valentine defeating Ricky Steamboat in the First Round and Hogan vs Andre ending in a double dq.

Hogan-Andre. This city was freaking buzzing when WM came to town, and they even earned front-page press in the Detroit News. I'll always remember it.

Sadly I didnt like any of the main events from 1-5, I loved the Steamboat-Savage match at WM III. Its such a crying shame it wasnt the main event but we all know why.

While Hogan-Andre in WMIII was the "hyped" match of the century it left a lot to be desired...especially Andre's head-butt into his hand into the ringpost...I voted Savage-DiBiase at WMIV because it was actually a "wrestling" match and i was a HUGE Savage mark at the time! I was literally jumping up and down when he got the win...although Hogan played his part in that as well.
As ST814 mentioned the best WM Match of all time was the Savage-Steamboat WMIII affair. I wore the tape out watching that match. It is still one of the greatest ever matches...period...not just WM, but EVER. I don't know how many times i came out of my seat during that match the first time i saw it. Even with the Hogan-Andre main event, this is the match that i mention first whenever someone mentions WMIII.

Being a big Savage mark, I had to vote WM IV.

After the Lions played their last game there, SportsCenter did a list of the best Silverdome moments as their top 10 list.
#1 was Hogan vs. Andre. Yeah, it helps that the home team was one that had won 1 playoff game in 45 years, but that says something.
(The best actual match was Hogan/Savage, which was also a feud that drew more money overall than Hogan/Andre...but WM3 was an event that just dwarfed all of the others.)

I voted for Hogan-Savage, because I was blown away by the fact that Hogan actually wrestled in this one.
