Me...I'd go with Carlito. Benoit would be my next choice...but since I'd probably be able to convince him to join ECW anyway, I'd use the pick on Carlito.

The two main daimonds are Carlito & Lashley if you ask me . Though Triple H would be interesting (But Vince would NEVER ? , surely !) . Any of them 3 would be , big bad low blows (from behind) on the WWE . I have gone for Carlito .

Finlay would be my pick, he suits ECW all the way

I could see him in ECW...though I think he's better suited to the 'classic' style of Smackdown!

Matt Hardy.
He's like the perfect ECW employee: he's an average-sized guy capable of good things in the ring but equally comfortable with a more hardcore environment if the need arises.

Not my first choice...but in the 'new' ECW, after the night Orton, Cena, Edge, Big Show and Angle had...I could see quite a few WWE guys making a name for themselves in ECW, Batista included. His charisma and raw power would be a good fit for ECW...and I'm sure he could connect with the fans as he's done with WWE fans. Problem is his charisma and raw power are also a great fit for RAW and Smackdown too...which is why he's probably staying put. He's too important to WWE...just like RVD is more important to ECW than he is to WWE.

Call me crazy, but I say Cena. After ONSII, I noticed that Cena would be possible the biggest heel of all time on ECW! Does ECW have any official heels? If so, do any of them get the reaction that Cena does? I doubt it will happen, but it would be interesting if he were drafted ECW.

Ditto what Diamond says. Cena would be HUGE for getting heat!

Cena might do well to move over to ECW at some point. I think he really enjoyed ONS2

I gotta agree...with hindsight being what it is, I might be inclined to change my vote to Cena (maybe) after seeing the reaction he got AND the way he worked with it at ONS. Plus...the end of RAW totally blew away the big DX reunion in my eyes...and can only show that the WWE is trying to 'roll' with whatever ECW gives them. If Cena had been a disaster at ONS, we may not be seeing him. But it worked...and I think Cena thought it worked, and maybe he did like it. He's still got some work to do for me to like him, I still cringe too much when I watch him, but the guy makes up for whatever he is lacking...and then some when it comes to the total package. Flaws and all the guy is money...and as a heel in ECW...man, I could just see Paul E getting him to drink the kool aid.
Plus...for Cena, this could be the ultimate proving ground. If he can win over the ECW fans...he'll go a long way to becoming a lot less 'hated' than he is right now (and probably a much better wrestler/performer).

CM Punk...if they did it right they could play it off like the WWE had these HUGE plans for him and Paul Heyman signs him right out from under their noses...
he could debut on RAW, and there could be a nice power-struggle for control of him, where in the end, ECW wins out...
instant credibility and he could become an immediate star if done right...

Is CM Punk really worthy of that kind of 'push'? I'm not that knowledgable about him...I think I've seen him 1 or 2 times. Who would you compare him to?

C.M. Punk is similar to Kid Kash. He's a good worker, and I'd like to see him pushed on either show, really.
Truthfully, I want them to draft Eugene and bring him to ECW. He is so anti-ECW material that it will work. Again, twisted logic, but there is something about seeing someone so out of their element that appeals to me. And if they gradually lose the mentally challenged angle and just make him a friendly and huggy moron like Spike Dudley used to be, it could be amusing. Besides, the thought of Eugene shouting "I'm hardcore!" makes me giggle!

I say CM Punk as well. This guy has never been able to get a real "run" in the big companies.
He's a guy who could be a great sleeper pick for Heyman.

So it looks like Carlito, Benoit and CM Punk are all at 4 votes. While I agree that picking on potential is part of the 'question', if I were ECW GM or whatever, I'd not only want a good wrestler and someone who could fit into ECW...but someone who is going to draw fans as well. Not saying that CM Punk can't or won't...but the other two are clearly more proven.
Can't say that I dissagree with any of the guys who got more than one vote though...each one could 'work' in the right circumstance.
