If ECW had stayed around and had the money to compete with the WWE,WCW,TNA would that have still been around today?
I think they would be but unsure of what wrestlers would have lasted this long especially with Tommy Dreamer+Sabu's injuries

No, it's hardcore content wouldn't be successful on a national level. Parents would be reluctant to have their kids watch it and you have to have the young generation as part of your audience or you won't survive.
This is definitely part of the reason ECW didn't get picked up by another network after TNN dumped them.

Maybe. If Paul had the financial backing TNA has, he might have been able to pull it off especially if he had been able to get some guys signed to long-term contracts.

I think, historically, it's important to realize that ECW is NOT just hardcore wrestling. They had some of the finest technical wrestlers around (Benoit, Malenko, Taz, Guerrero) and a solid cruiser base (Mysterio, Super Crazy, TAKA, Psicosis). ECW was not just garbage wrestling.

Its just going to be a carbon copy of the original, remember how can a rebel fed be a rebel fed and do rique things when your funded by WWE, sorry but ECW is still dead in my eyes but it was great when it was what it was.

Hey Bruiser
Just to let you know this poll has nothing to do with the return of ECW just asking if ECW never closed and they had the money could they survive today without the WWE owning them
