reunited tag teams

I am not sure if this thread has been done before
I am redoing the history and keeping the tag teams by the book and I am wondering what to do about tag teams that have been split up for many year and then reunite should I treat them like a new team or just continue there win loss record from where they left off . I am not talking about 1 year splits but longer splits and If I should treat them as a new tag team how long would say the split should be before I throw there win loss record out .

I'd make them start off at the bottom of the rankings though.
