As we get closer to Wrsestlemania 22 and as I finish rewatching all of the previous Wrestlemanias from the recent anthology, I was curious as to what you guys think is the best Wrestlemania. I still think Wrestlemania 3 is the best one of all time.

WrestleMania 3 is actually tied with WrestleMania 6 as my favorite. The energy going into WrestleMania 3 was incredible... the whole night just felt like magic. The Pontiac Silverdome was jam packed with a record breaking crowd. The crowd popped for everything that the babyfaces did. It's hard to compare anything to it.

I have to agree with tafkaga. I have a tie for 3 and 6 also but chose 3 because of the energy and well it was just an awesome night!

For me Wrestlemania 6 my first ever one . Tell a lie . I saw Hogan v Savage WM5 in a shop window . Wrestling on telly ? What is this ? . That is how it all started for me . WM6 was my first sit down at home PPV . Jake the Snake v Ted Dibiase , The Model v Koko B Ware , Roddy v Bad News Brown , Warrior v Hogan etc . It was heaven to me . True story during watching Hogan v Warrior there was an earth tremour in Widnes (Cheshire) England (Where I was living at the time) .

I'll say Wrestlemania VI. It was the second Wrestlemania that I ever saw, and I was into just about every match. Wrestlemania III was also extremely good, but considering I never watched it until the Wrestlemania Anthology was released, it hasn't stuck with me as much as 6.
Peace.

Gotta go with 3, nothing compares to Hulk and Andre. Although the most memorable ones for me were 4 and 20. WMIV because it was the first I saw live and it got me into appreciating tournaments. WMXX because I was there live.

WMXX because I was there live. TM, what was the pop for Benoit like at the end, live? I remember audibly hearing the Benoit chants, even though I was watching the event on a laptop. Just curious.

The pop for Benoit at the end was incredible. The last match had everyone's complete attention and when HHH tapped we all went nuts. I would like to say this was because it was a great ending to a great Wrestlemania, but I don't think that was the case. It was the longest Wrestlemania ever (almost 5 hours) and there really wasn't much to be excited about the whole night...especially with the Brock-Goldberg negative star stinker. I think the fans were so happy to see a great match, with a great ending that the pop was overwhelming.
I am very happy to have seen Wrestlemania in person, especially in the Garden (Where I am pissed that they no longer run shows in...especially now that I have a train a 3 minute walk from my house that goes directly to MSG), but I would prefer to see Wrestlemanias on TV in the future. Cramped seats, stage lights shining right in my face, etc., didn't make it the greatest experience. But Beniot winning that match will be a great memory that I will always have from that event, that will make the trip worthwhile.

I would have to say WM 3 also...yeah it was great that Hogan bodyslammed Andre (yawn...) and I didn't see that one coming... Yeah right! But the best match of the card (maybe of all time) was Steamboat beating the macho Man for the Intercontinental title...great match...

I think it would be too much chaos in fighting the crowd, bcramped seats, buying a T-shirt, trying to keep the beer flowing at a good pace, etc. I'd like to go once though, just to say I did. I was going to try to go this year, with Chi-Town being only a few hours away, but the fundage wasn't looking too good when tickets went on sale. Now, after seeing the platter of steaming poo that WWE is offering this year, I thank my lucky stars I didn't make the purchase (best of luck selling that ticket NOW RingsYde), LOL WWE doesn't do MSG shows anymore? When did that decision take place?

I have to say WM IV. Those of us in the Detroit area couldn't get WM 3 on PPV because they wanted us to buy the tix.
In WM 4, there was a great build up to the WWF Title tourney with Andre beating Hogan, the twin Hebner's, Andre giving the belt to DiBiase.
I was really intersted to see who would win the belt. I thought it would be Hogan so I was shocked to see him and Andre get Double DQ'd

WWE doesn't do MSG shows anymore? When did that decision take place? I was wondering why there hadn't been an MSG card in a long time and then I saw a blurb on Lordsofpain.net that said that since MSG raised their event rate (to $250,000 or so) that it is no longer profitable for WWE to run cards at MSG. Which is utter crap because that is the home of the WWE, and I'm sure they would sell out Raw event with increased ticket prices.

MSG is the mecca of sports in this country. I think Vince (or Shane, or whoever) will still have it there every 10 yrs. It's tradition!

Once again, the silent WWE motto rings true...
"Screw tradition! Money talk$!"

I loved wrestlemania IX. It was the first wrestlemania I saw live on PPV. Double Vision Doink... I didn't see it coming... The Mega-Maniacs losing to Money Inc by DQ... also didn't see it coming, and it was even funnier that Danny Davis DQ'd Jimmy Hart's wrestlers. Then after Hart dropped the belt to Yokozuna, just to lose it to Hogan minutes later... also unexpected, and I loved it. (I understand there are Hogan haters who didn't like it, but I loved it)

(I understand there are Hogan haters who didn't like it, but I loved it) WM IX was pretty good, except for Hogan winning the belt back. I was glad they put it back on Hart later. I also thought Shawn Michaels was losing the I-C belt to Tatanka for sure.

I am a Hulk Hogan fan and intend to buy his dvd anthology when it comes out in April. Of course, I also think highly of Las Vegas since it is my home. But I really did not like the manner in which Hulk Hogan suddenly won the belt from Yokozuna at Wrestlemania 9 at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas. Mr. Fuji challenging Hogan to immediately face Yokozuna who had just exerted himself (while Hogan had been resting since his match with Beefcake against Money Inc.) defeating Bret Hart to win the championship just did not seem convincing to me. On his dvd released last November, Bret Hart also complained about losing the belt to (really) Hogan in this manner.
By comparison, I thought Edge suddenly winning the belt against Cena at New Year's Revolution this year was done in a much better way. It made perfect sense for Edge with his money in the bank briefcase to challenge Cena after he just exerted himself in a brutal elimination chamber match. So in two situations in which the ultimate outcome was someone unexpectedly obtaining the championship in a previously unscheduled match at the end of a PPV, Edge's actions were calculating while Fuji and Yokozuna's actions were stupid.
