Playing Ted Dibiase , I use the buy the match with money chart (is it called ?) . Ted buys the match by forefit . This got me thinking . What if it was the heavyweight belt or US Title belt ? . Would it stand in your federation , if Ted Dibiase bought the title match with money by forefit ? . Is he the new champion . Even though the champion was never pinned or submitted .
(Ps) How many faults in that lot ? , Payback

this happened when Dibiase bought the title from Andre, the title was declared vacant and they had the tournament at Wrestlemania 4

Yes, this just, IMO, adds some more drama. What about the guy who would have fought for the title or better yet the guy who lost the title...or perhaps the guy who sold it comes back and decides he made a mistake. SO YES YES YES

Hmm. Only reference I have is the DiBiase situation and way back in GCW when Killer Brooks beat Paul Orndorff for the National Heavyweight title and then sold it to Larry Zbyszko. Both times it was a tourney to solve the issue.
