I have a LOW fed called Major League Wrestling (MLW) for which I post the results over in the LOW fed forum here on this board. But when I post my results, I want to stop writing things such as "the announcers remark" and actually have identities for my announcers.
Although Major League Wrestling's roster of wrestlers is only made up of wrestlers with official LOW cards, I am thinking of selecting my announcers (who won't be in regular wrestling roles) from the wrestlers in LOW Bootlegs (sort of like I have Bruno Sammartino from LOW Bootlegs as Major League Wrestling's Chairman).
I think I am going to use the Macho Man Randy Savage as my color commentator because he is one of my all time favorites and I would like him to have some sort of role in my fed. But I am looking for suggestions/votes as to who should be the lead announcer/Jim Ross role for my fed Major League Wrestling.
Somebody suggested Kamala, but I don't think he'll work even though he'd be funny as hell in that role.
Thanks for any ideas you have to offer me.
Mr. Vegas

With Savage already in.....i do not think a wrestler-wrestler dynamic would work....
Jesse is the greatest color man of all time, but not for play by play
i will go with the underated Bill Mercer of World Class......
he was really good at calling a match and getting the heels over....
Team him with Randy....pure gold

Of those listed, AA cut the best promos and would be a great announcer. If it were up to me, bless his soul, it would be Gordon Solie.

I too must go with Gordon Solie. I used to watch GCW every week on cable. He would be a good balance to the Macho Man. Oh Yeah!!! Freak OUT!

I agree that a wrestler wrestler dynamic wouldn't work.
My vote is for Jim Ross. I don't think it gets any better then that.

What about Joey Styles and the Macho Man?

I woudl go with Jim Cornette or bobby heenan. It would be interesting to see how Cornette would go with Macho man. The motor mouth in cornette and the insanity of machoman. OOOOHHHHHH Yeah! Dig It!

You guys convinced me to go with a regular announcer instead of a wrestler. I decided on Joey Styles. I actually think I am going to have Styles do his job alone- just like he did in ECW in the 1990s- without a color commentator such as the Macho Man.
Styles will at least be the announcer for my Smackdown brand in my LOW fed Major League Wrestling and the next results I play out and post (possibly tonight) will include some commentary by him. I'm still trying to decide if I want Styles to also do the commentary for my RAW brand too.

Jim Ross, just as long as you calm him down and he doesn't get the wrestlers mixed up. He's starting to do that more and more lately.

While Styles is all right...even in ECW, he had a major tendency to get repetitive. Solie on the other hand...pure gold.

Tough. I'm thinking of going with Jerry "The King" Lawler as my lead announcer. I may switch it to Heenan if he ever steps away from ring activity. Jim and Bobby would be nice in the future. Anyway, I'm a huge "King" mark and RAW's opening was very nice last night.
