I went with Beefcake since that was he real life partner. The Dream Team beat the Road Warriors for the world tag team titles in my fed, ending the LOD's one year run with the gold. Greg also was the first ever tag champs for me with his father Johnny. I've got the Dream Team back together and managed by Lou Albano.

In my Legends fed which I call Major League Wrestling (MLW), Greg and Johnny Valentine are part of my Four Horsemen and have held the United States Tag Team Championship since winning it at the Great American Bash last July. In the future, I also plan to team up Greg Valentine with Brutus Beefcake who along with Buff Bagwell currently holds my MLW Tag Team Championship.

His worked well with both Johnny and also Brutus Beefcake (probably the best as The Dream Team) . Sometimes I like to mix things up . So why not pick a complete different partner .

I like teaming him best with Beefcake myself. Mostly because Beefcake needs a tag partner.

I voted for go it alone. I've used him with Beefcake and The Dream Team is solid (particularly if managed by Albano), but I think Hammer is a real mid-card force and if you have an intercontinental or US title equivalent, he's a diffident contender.

I also have Valentine with Beefcake to form the Dream Team, and they are doing fine for me

In my fed, the Dream Team worked very well. Valentine also had a good tag title run with Bob Orton, Jr. as a partner. I believe both were in Mid Atlantic right around the same time, which made enough sense for me to set them up as a team.

I, too, went with Beefcake for the same reason as Ty...he was his real partner, it's only natural.

I never liked the pairing of Beefcake and Valentine. Greg was more of a rough-house, smash-mouth, brutal technician while Beefcake was more style than substance.
Johnny Valentine is my world champ and not in the tag division.
I would go with another smash-mouth type like Bob Orton Jr.

I tried introducing the Dream Team and they went nowhere fast in my Fed, but when I teamed the Hammer with Johnny they were very successful. They made it close to the top but just could not get past the Valiants or my Fed Champs The Road Warriors and both recently returned to singles competition.
