American Gladiators was one of my favorite shows growing up. I would watch most Saturday's during its run. So I will definitely be watching.
I'm not sure what to think of the water tank replacing the blue pads, but I guess it will be cool. I'm also not so sure about the announcers. No play by play guy.

Only if we get some Westly "Two Scoops" Berry caliber people competing.

I liked the old version.
This show reminds me of movies now. There's no new ideas. Justr rehashed old ones.
I will not be watching the new incarnation, even as much as I like Hogan.
If the Hulkster was a Gladiator, I would watch for sure!

I don't watch much TV as it is aside from sports. This is not going to entice me to change that behavior.

There should be a Maybe option on this poll. If there isn't something better on I might watch it, just for laughs. After all I did watch three weeks of Cavemen.....what?

Well, I liked the first episode. I think it held true to the original series and wasn't too campy. A bunch of the Gladiators had COTG names:
Wolf Mayhem Justice Crush

i think it would be very cool to get on the show...one of the things i absolutely love about going to school for the Air Force is the obstacle course and what we call leadership reaction course, which is basically a physical brainteaser...you have 20 feet of rope, a barrel and a 10 ft 2x4...get it all across this electrified fense...and by the way the enemy is 10 minutes away and you can't talk above a whisper. I love that stuff and getting a shot to do some of the stuff they do on AG in the Gauntlet would be right up that alley.

You know, Pete, you ought to come tell that to my ex-Marine (now Reservist) state trooper neighbor, because according to him, Air Force workouts are a half-hour on an exercise bike and jumping jacks! But my aunt and uncle were both through your branch. I know you're on the mark.

But my aunt and uncle were both through your branch. I know you're on the mark. Ah, the age old discussion about which service is better...the discussion will never end. What is funny is that the Marine Corps fitness test consists of pull ups, sit ups and then a 3-mile run. The Air Force fitness test consists of push ups, sit ups and a 1.5 mile run. While not exactly the same i would say that both are fairly consistent at what they measure...yeah pull ups are more difficult but are a test of strength just as the push ups are. Now the main question to ask a Marine, is what is the Marine Corps' mission in battle and what is the Air Force's? I am hoping the Marines would have a tougher fitness test just based on that. I would hope their workouts are tougher then the Air Force's...i am glad the Marines do what they do...they are an important part of the team and i would say that on the average they should be in better physical shape then Airmen. The Air Force has gotten much better at promoting fitness over the past few years...we still have a way to go. however even if every Marine could run circles around an Airmen...i have trouble seeing fitness as the deciding factor when facing an F-15, F-16, F-117, AC-130 Gunship, B-1 or B-2!

Thanks! I am serious, while not the most intimidating (not even close) physical presence, i would LOVE to compete on AG!
