I understand it's a business for Filsinger Games, but why is it that at least the people who won a spot in the set still have to buy it? I know it's only 20 bucks, but just wondering if maybe people made the trek all the way to NY just to try for a spot, a comp set couldn't hurt. Maybe it does...just wondering is all, figuring other people like legends wrestlers get comp box sets and the such, and I know the PM people won't help push the game like an endorsement from Mick Foley or Sandman would, but still. I haven't really heard any of the PM winners complaining (unless you're one of the winners)- so that should tell you something. I know that being allowed to put together Early Classics was a huge thrill for me. In talking to PM winners like my brother, Swarm, Payback, et al, this is a huge thrill for them too. That's what's really important.

I'm not a winner and I'm not really complaining, I was just wondering is all. I have no problem dropping a 20 spot if I won a slot either, I was just throwing it out there as the thought crossed my mind.

I think the winners are thrilled beyond belief at having the chance to write and be part of this amazing opportunity to create an official COTG character and not really focusing or worrying about 20 bucks. statement of the year candidate.

Holding the Cuddley Claw card in my hand this morning was worth so much more than 20 dollars. The whole process was a thrill and, to borrow from a commercial, PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Birds flyin' high you know how I feel Sun in the sky you know how I feel Breeze driftin' on by you know how I feel Its a new dawn, its a new day, its a new life for me yeah, its a new dawn its a new day its a new life for me AND I'M FEELING GOOD
I just got the package. Promoter Madness, Subversion 2120, Subversion 2121 and GWF Files 2. I was so happy I played "I'm Feeling Good" by Nina Simone at full blast from my iTunes. I'm reading through 2120 and PM before I test out the new blood.
Right, my small thoughts on the newcomers so far after using them for GWFZ dark matches before my GWF show. They all had only 1 match each so far, some were long and others were short so my opinions may change soon.
Nightmare Nikki: Has potential. I can imagine her suffering from bloodlust as an excuse for getting DQ'ed if that ever happens.
Dark Star Creature: Vicious.
Cuddly Claw: This guy will either be the cutest or most annoying character in CotG. It all depends on how I want to book him.
Assassin X: A good figure for the 'mysterious hired gun' character.
Dr. Payne: He has a cute nurse.
Hedgmony: He looks like he is two steps away from being a begger on the street. Sorry, but he does look real scruffy. I guess trying to promote pro wrestling as a legitimate sport to be proud of can take a hit on hygiene. Oh, and a feud with Cuddly Claw makes a lot of sense.
Ensor: The definate top face. Will no doubt make it to the FDF sooner or later.
Overtime: Hasn't had any temper tantrums yet.
Sledgend: The type of guy who isn't paid by the hour. Should be fun.
Surgeon: Haven't seen much out of him yet.
Leviathan: A possible tag team with Nosfera, maybe?
Symbiod: Wow, didn't expect something like this.
Morbid: I said it before, he's CM Punk if he was in the original ECW.
Pride: Seems tailor-made for US Male.
The Legacy: Looks like he will be the pure fighter of the bunch.

I would never have thought of this angle, but it does make perfect sense. Hedgmony would naturally get on Cuddley Claw's case for not taking wrestling seriously. BRILLIANT IDEA!!!!!!!!
And it is ironic because Shane and I were both noobs at last year's Galacticon so we kind of hung out together.

I got it!!!!!!!!!!!
And extra thanks because I had a crappy day at work and thanks to PM, I quickly got a big stupid smile on my face when I got home.
Haven't played yet, but just read through the book. Will probably throw a longer review on here later, but in a nutshell, I -LOVE- it. The artwork is top notch (Werner, you positively rock).....the write-ups are great, especially Cuddley Claw.....and the unique game mechanics are, well, STRONG.
Can't wait to have some cards this weekend. Of course, to be different, I named my developmental league the GWX, but I'll be setting up a thread in the fed results area soon.
AWESOME work, all of you involved. I really mean it.
