Guess I should go ahead and order this despite not being in 2121 yet. Just so I have it. Yeah, you don't need to be in the current time period to have this set. In fact some of the guys are written into the GWFZ prior to the current year. Oh, ok. I thought someone had said it was set on 2121.

Question:
Is it okay for a grown man to cry tears of joy when he receives Promoter Madness?
I ask in advance, because I know not how I will respond to it resting in my mailbox one of these next couple days.

If not, then you will deserve any beating coming your way.

OK i've read the whole booklet and looked over the cards and heres my honest opinion.....
THIS SET IS F*****G AWESOME. some minor SPOILERS BELOW!!
Nightmare Nikki- Should really shake up the womens division. Build up Finishers rule! fantastic art on the card.
Dark Star Creature- Cool card he's tough, and hardcore.
Cuddley Claw-This little guy rocks, has tons of quick hitting moves and of course can fall asleep at any time, which is sweet. Nice original game mechanic.
Assassin X- This guys looks tough, great back story as well..could be a very tough opponent for anyone.
Doctor Payne-Love the art and character, also has a cool game mechanic and a personal nurse. this guy could be a champion.
Hegemony-I really like the back story on him, should make a nice middle tier guy . He's gonna make a lot of enemies.
Ensor-He might be my favorite guy in the set. Has everything to be a superstar in the GWF or any other fed.
Overtime- A stud, will make his mark in the GWF. SOLID stats and awesome game mechanic. Will be a fun card to play .
Sledgend- One word HARDCORE...This guy will destroy people quick or get crushed by them. The all or nothing brute! I like it. Bazzy's quick matches will be quicker with this guy.
Surgeon- love the art and back story. Lethal Injection will win many matches.
Leviathan- This is a current favorite guy in the set. I can't wait to get him in the ring. He's a beast.
Symbiote- this guy is strange. he will cause many problems in any fed he's in. A true KILLER!
Morbid-awesome art and stats. If you have a heavy metal belt, this guys gunning for it. This guy will shake up any fed up. Hardcore.
Pride- Solid card, might end up being the best guy of the set. Art and stats are top notch. A true hero...if I were a wrestler in the GWF i'd want him on my side.
The Legacy- Sweet card..Great finisher. might be the surprise of the set to most people. Great card.
To everyone who helped and made cards for this set. I envy you for such great work and characters. SOLID job by all involved.
tkx again, the dice don't lie!

Maybe this is an inappropriate "none of my business" question, but are sales a) good b) better than expected c) lower than expected?

Everyone should get this set. Don't let personal things and crap like that stop you from enjoying this set. It's a must have for all GWF promoters out there. Rob and the rest of the crew did a bang up job here, and should be applauded for their efforts. JUST BUY IT.

Maybe this is an inappropriate "none of my business" question, but are sales a) good b) better than expected c) lower than expected? Not sure what expectations really were for this, and I don't know the history of other sets beyond CPC 2121, but I'd say good. I think the cool thing about the set is that it can appeal to both bootleggers, By-the-Bookers and even Legends players. Great idea by Tom and I'm looking forward to PM2 already. (I wonder if I'm eligible still )

Heck, even Hegemony and Swarm could agree that PM rocks! And that's about all we will agree on. I am really excited to get my hands on this set, but it will have to wait until my semester from hell is over. Only two more weeks...

I understand it's a business for Filsinger Games, but why is it that at least the people who won a spot in the set still have to buy it? I know it's only 20 bucks, but just wondering if maybe people made the trek all the way to NY just to try for a spot, a comp set couldn't hurt. Maybe it does...just wondering is all, figuring other people like legends wrestlers get comp box sets and the such, and I know the PM people won't help push the game like an endorsement from Mick Foley or Sandman would, but still.

I think the winners are thrilled beyond belief at having the chance to write and be part of this amazing opportunity to create an official COTG character and not really focusing or worrying about 20 bucks.

I feel everyone of the COTG alumni will do anything to keep the product alive so 20 bucks isnt a big deal for something you love.

To put things into perspective I, Swarm, just dropped 60 bucks on 2119-2121 + Promoter Madness and a couple SE cards for my gf as she wants to start a fed so... if I pay...you pay!

I'd pay twice that if I had the honor of a card in the set.
