Piggybacking on Swarm's toy thread, which wrestling figures rul in your book? The Original LJN figures have the nostalgia for many of us...but you can't beat the variety of guys Jaaks has.
I'm going with nostalgia.

I actually own only 3 wrestling figures and they are the Honkey Tonk Man, Briam Pillman and Dr. Death Steve Williams. I do like the old style figures though.

I think the paint is falling off all my old figures. The bendies (bendies, not Bendis) that came out at the same time as the old LJN figures were my favorites. Those or the thumb wrestlers. I still have my Nikolai Volkoff thumb wrestler somewhere. My all time favorite wrestler figuyre sculpt was the LJN Ricky Steamboat. That had an awesome pose. The bendie version was even impressive. You do have to give props to the "Ram Man" action of some of those Jakks figures (Brutus Beefcake and the Rockers come to mind).

I grew up in the era between the current Jaks figures, and the gigantic, rubber LJN figures. I grew up with the 4 inch plastic figures. They were cool, and I had a ton of them, but I HATED when they gave a guy a body type that wasn't conducive to more than 1 wrestling move. The Ric Flair figure comes to mind, as it was set to put a guy in a headlock and punch him in the head...you literally couldn't do anything else with the figure.
So to answer the question, while I"m nostalgic for the old days, the figures now have much more detail, way more articulation, and come with sweet weapons and props. Gotta go with the current day toys.
(I should mention that one of the things I look forward to most about having children is buying them toys...so that I can play with them.)

Man, I used to have tons of the old figures. I still remember freaking out in Toys R Us when I found Koko B Ware after looking though dozens of containers.
Yeah, Koko freakin' B Ware, I know....

I liked the AWA ones the best. I hated the LJN ones because you couldn't move them at all. I did use the Bruno Sammartino one though and my biggest action-figure fed moment was when the "Itallian Stallion" (Scott Hall, but I gave him a new name because my buddy gave me the figure and I had no clue who it was) slammed "Bruno The Giant". Plus, I would always make new teams by changing the body parts. I had Scott Irwin team up with Terry Gordy and they were an awesome team. I also used GWF character cards and would roll through a match while acting them out with the figures. Aaaah, to not have responsibilities... The Ric Flair figure comes to mind, as it was set to put a guy in a headlock and punch him in the head...you literally couldn't do anything else with the figure. I had that one too, and couldn't agree more. That line of figures sucked. (I should mention that one of the things I look forward to most about having children is buying them toys...so that I can play with them.) I hear ya. My 7-year-old nephew brought over some of his figures to my house to show them to me a few months ago, and we had a lot of fun. After he turns 10 I'm going to teach him how to set them on fire for the added injury effects.

I did that with my He-Men figures. I swapped the head, arms and armor to make new characters for roster changes.
