It is 9:10am and I have two tickets to today's White Sox game. My buddy has food poisoning and don't have anyone else to go. To get there in time I would have to leave by 10:30. Should I go alone?

Hey BDS, if you read this by 10:30 now is your chance to see real baseball.
EDIT: That goes for anyone, like myself, that works for themself and can ditch work whenever they want and can make it into Chicago by 12:30 for the game.

I saw on Sportscenter that Stone Cold Steve Austin threw out the first pitch at this game today.

I saw on Sportscenter that Stone Cold Steve Austin threw out the first pitch at this game today. Yes, he did. So that was cool. I did go alone. People looked at me weird when Stone Cold's music hit and I started screeming (in my best JR voice): "Stone Cold, Stone Cold, Stone Cold". OK, so that part didn't happen but he did have a girly arm.

It's no longer relevant, but it sound like you had fun. So you should have went.

Nothing wrong with going to a game alone. I go to hockey games with people a lot, and I go alone a lot. It's cool both ways.
