The Tigers have been on a roll, and I see a lot of people in the media predicting that we'll roll right over the Cardinals.
Not so fast my friend ...
I've been a Tigers fan since I was born, and this year has been one of the greatest seasons of my life. If there is one thing I know about the Tigers its that they like to make things interesting, and St. Louis is a better team than people give them credit for.
I still say Detroit wins of course, but I'll go with Jim and agree on Tigers in 6. (which means we get to win it at home baby!)

As long as Pujols doesn't get much of anything to hit, Tigers. Otherwise, it's a toss-up. The Cards need something going on in the cleanup spot.

I've been cheering for the Tigers, and it's not stopping yet though I wouldn't be upset if the Cardinals won.

In the playoffs, power pitching wins. Detroit has had the best starting pitching in the league all year.
One of the Cardinal's best pitchers is Jeff Weaver who was so bad on a terrible Tigers team a few years back, they traded him to the Yankees for.....Jeremy Bonderman.
Then Weaver sucks for NY, gets traded to the Dodgers, Angels, and at the deadline to the Cardinals.
This Cardinal team doesn't scare me at all. I like Pujols and Eckstine, but other than that, they really don't have a lot.
If Jeter, A-Rod, Giambi, Sheffield, Damon, and Matsui couldn't do much against Detroit, neither will St. Louis.
One thing that will favor St. Louis is when they go to Games 3&4 (maybe 5) the Tigers will have to take one of their bats out of the lineup.
Tigers in 5.
