Will any team that currently has a losing record, fight its way into the playoffs?
the pickings are kind of slim as I think only Pittsburgh and KC have a realistic shot; I'll say Pittsburgh manages to get the first wild card spot with a 10-6 record; KC misses with an 8-8 maybe 9-7 record.

I'll say probably not but it's not unthinkable.

The no vote is breaking away, and leads big.

The two best chances are Pittsburgh and Kansas City.
Kansas City: Herm Edwards' teams are serial underachievers. He left New York 41-43 as a head coach. The Jets never finished better than 10-6 with him as a head coach and they had some insanely talented teams during his main years there. They couldn't knock off a Patriots team that most seasons got crippled by injuries at every position. Also notice the Jets didn't improve the team that much and they've already seen a huge improvement without him. I doubt he has the ability to turn it around.
Pittsburgh: Too hard a road. Teams have figured out how to beat them. Shut down the run and force Rothlisberger to beat you with his arm. I also think they're missing the Bus a lot this season as they don't have that sure fire short yardage guy. They'll rebound somewhat but they have Baltimore twice, Cincy, Carolina, Atlanta, Denver and New Orleans coming up on the schedule. They can only afford 2 more losses if they want to for sure be in the playoffs and at the worst they can only lose 3 games. They also have land mines with Tampa Bay and Cleveland twice. Cleveland will show up big to at least one of those games.

True Mad dog, both teams face an uphill climb. But, if any team can go through that tough of a schedule and come out 10-6, it's Pittsburgh.
