Oh one of the best tv shows ever Mystery Science Theatre 3000, plot: a guy gets shot into space by a mad doctor and subjects him to a series of bad movies, but armed with a sense of humor, the guy(for the 1st 4 seasons it was Joel Hodgson then it was Michael J.Nelson) creates smart-mouth robots from spare parts of the ship is trapped in to help him sit through the weekly steam pile of crap and help make wise cracks, during intermission they do little bits that mock the movie they;re watching. it was funny as hell..IMO. Shame its not on anymore:-(

GREAT POLL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MST3K is one of my all-time favorite TV shows. Boy do I miss it. Thankfully, they keep putting out the DVD sets. I had to vote for Manos, Hands of Fate, if for nothing else than Torgo the henchmen with the ridiculously large kneecaps.

Of what you had listed I had to go with Manos if nothing more than for the "tender peeping Torgo" scene. Sad though, I heard that Torgo died or commited suicide shortly after the movie was put out.
If I were to have my choice from the whole ten-eleven year run, my favorite is stil the Magical Voyage of Sinbad but I like a lot of those fantasy type episodes (Jack Frost, Day the Earth Froze, the Sword and the Dragon, Quest of the Delta Knights, Outlaw of Gor, Magic Sword, I still can't believe Crow dumped Kim Catrall for Estelle Winwood even if it was only for one episode). I also like Starfighters (poopie suit), Skydivers, Catalina Caper, and Eegah. Way I'm going I should just post the entire episode list.

This is the best poll in the history of the COTG board. I thank you. And you had the sense to avoid a "Joel vs. Mike" debate.
I went with "other"--I always found Mitchell to be a rather overrated episode, important as it was, but the rest were classics. But my favorites...
I Accuse My Parents - Some of the best episodes often come from movies that aren't *that* terrible, and this is one. Cheesy as hell but such an easy target. Gypsy's interpretation of "Are You Happy in Your Work?" is the highlight.
Riding with Death - The best Sci-Fi ep. Long live the '70s. "Just gotta keep mellow, that's what bein' Ben Murphy's all about...and I'm Ben Murphy."
Manos - Duh.
The Amazing Colossal Man - Personal fav of mine, this was the first episode I ever watched. I was hooked. "SINGLE-CELLED HEART??!"
Pod People - The ideal episode to show to somebody new to the premise. One of the most bats**t goofy movies I've ever seen. If I could land an MP3 of "Hear the Engines Roll Now" I'd make it my entrance theme for the Trivia Contest.

But so glad it lives on in dvd format!!! Pod People was pretty good also, loved the song but IT STINKS!!! I could care less about the Joel vs. Mike debate. They each had a different brand of humor and I liked them both.

One of the funniest bits in Spider Invasion is when Gypsy tires to put Mike and the bots to sleep with a soothing lullaby, her monotone voice just makes me crack up, I make it a point never to drink anything when im watching that part!
"Close Your Eyes, Go To Sleep, Be Absorbed by The Collective, Fadaway, Lose Your Soul, Be Replaced by A Drone Let Thoughts of Evil and Super Conscienceness, Swallow You Whole"

Is Giant Spider a newer movie? I was getting it confused with Earth vs. The Spider, I'm not sure if I've ever seen Giant Spider (though I may have, I'm remembering a meteor or something).

I'm just the biggest Godzilla geek, so anytime MSTK bashed Godzilla (or Gamera) I loved it.
