Not to mention his whole story is so cool. Going back in time to prevent your own future, possibly making it so that you don't exist. Pretty cool. Eh, that's one of the things working against him (and a lot of other guys, like Cable) IMO. Of course, I was around for the Days of Future Past/Present storylines (or at least I remember reading them). Time paradoxes will have given me a headache.

Never cared for Storm. I always thought she was over rated...cool power, poor application.
John Stewart green lantern is my favorite of the lantern corps. Hal was cool, i liked guy and kyle, but john approached the responsibility the way i like to belive i would. For anyone who has read "Cosmic Odessey" John has one of the most memorable moments, for better or worse, in comics. Plus Phil Lamar has such a deep voice for the animated series!
For me voting was a toss up....
Ive always dug Luke Cage, he just seemed like a guy i could have a beer with. In the 70s and 80s he attacked some issues nobody else was really dealing with (i was never a big "sweet Christmas " fan however.) The new avengers stuff Bendis has written is fun and i like what hes doing with Cage.
Black Panther has always been one of my favorite characters too.... i loved his costume when i was a kid! He didnt get much time on the field in the avengers titles, but now that hes spun off into his own series hes shinning (plus i got to work on this series!) I really think hes the closest thing to Batman marvel has to offer.
In the end i went with Luke Cage (Nobody else voted for him!)

After mulling this over as I have a few favs...Luke Cage was good but isn't that great without Randy...Blade is alright but limited in his series...Black Panther is alright but again limited appearances...Captain marvel was alright...Storm-Swiiinnnngggg! However, the one character that I have absolutely lved since his intro was Bishop...you have to love anyone that tries to stick it to Apocalypse!

He is not a superhero, but a comic book character. Stalker was always one of my favotite characters in the GI Joe comic book. He was a good leader and a man of great courage.

The Black Panther (that's T'Challa, right?) always intrigued me, but I never read a lot of books that featured him for anything other than a one-shot appearance.
I really liked Rage (probably in the minority on that one) and Night Thrasher from the New Warriors back in the late 80's or early 90's. They both had real-world issues and I thought that they were characters that you could really get behind. Night Thrasher was especially cool to me.
I also liked War Machine, and hated it when they had Dusty and Stark go at it....although I suppose that it served its purpose.
I only knew about Cyborg from the animated series... but I thought that he was pretty cool too.

I'll tell you another guy i always liked.... Falcon.
The guy had one of the smoother costumes in comics and anyone that can keep up with Captain America is tough as nails in my book....

Piston, I'm not sure how I forgot about Falcon. I have a box of Jack Kirby's Captain America & Falcon comics, and I have just about every mini seires, team-up or Avengers book that "Snap" Wilson appeared in. I always loved this guy because he was Cap's equal in many ways
Falcon was one of four black heroes that I associated with as a young child (primarily because they were about the only black heroes to have more than a smattering of appearances), along with Black Panther, Luke Cage and Black Lightning. He's definitely one of my favorites.

Falcon was one of my favorites too.... I remember having a Falcon action figure. I didn't read Cap back then, so Falcon was an independent hero who stood on his own in my mind.

How is it that as RingsYde said Black Panther, Luke Cage, Black Lightning and Falcon were some of the only black superheros around 20 some years ago and yet now you hardly hear of them? You would think they would be really popular and would have their own books and stuff. Some have had short runs of their own books but that was only within the past 5 years maybe.

As far as Super Villians, Thunderball was always cool. The rest of the Wrecking Crew was useless, and a bunch of morons. But Thunderball, even when he had no powers hooked up with Hydra (I think) fashioned a a suit to mimic his power and fought with/ agaisnt Thor. Not bad for a nerdy physicist!

Wesley Snipes as Blade was awesome. A very cool character and almost anti-hero.
I had an observation. My friend has a 4 year-old son and he has a Green Lantern figure and he's black. Am I nuts but when did GL become black? (not that I have a problem with it -- it just caught me off guard)

Well from what I believe there is a lot of Green lanterns of all races, including tho big pig looking one. So I believe that the black guy is just one of many green lanterns.

I believe the john stewart green lantern has been around in the comics since the late 70s. hes a great character!
Im glad they included this version of Green Lantern on the Justice League cartoon. Hal Jordan was the "Kelso" of the justice league.
