Ok, so Monolith in November of 2122 finally won my Galaxian Title after several failed attempts in the past two years. He also has had a one year reign on my Interplanetary Title. The question is, what do you think should happen?
I could see Monolith demanding that he is the ONLY champion in GWF and defending both titles each month. At the same time I could see Massif enforce a ruling to determine a new champion.
What would you do?

I've had the I-P champ win the GWF title twice. I vacate the I-P title and crown a new champ with a tournie. Any mode would be fine but there should be a new champ. It would be screwy if someone beat him and only won the I-P belt.

I agree with Havoc. Vacate the IP title and hold a tournament. That's what I've done when this situation happens in my own GWF fed.

I love the idea of Monolith being a title hog, but this IS the perfect chance for a tourney...

Although I acknowledge in the records that the wrester captured both titles, I still vacate the lesser title.
I usually try to avoid the possiblity entirely of two titles, accept when two feuding wrestlers hold titles.

It can be a tough spot trying to juggle keeping titles seperate...while also wanting to reward a dominate second tier Champion with 'something more'. Back when I used to use frequently defended titles I would mandate that a lesser Champion could only challenge a greater Champion if he forfeited the title in order to receive the title shot. This made Galaxian Champion vs IP Champion matches rare 'all or nothing' scenarios for both Champions where either loser walked away with nothing. Whenever the IP Title was vacated I'd try to involve only the top contenders in the title fulfillment process (rewarding the top tier for being top tier). I always prefered some form of tournament as being the most credible mode to crown a Champion. A four way round robin with a simple point system would be a good way to build up a special series of matches into a few cards...while giving the emerging new Champ credibility...and opening the door to some follow up programs over the title. Keeping the ex-Champion out of the initial IP mix can help to keep title scene fresh.

It hasn't happened much in my fed, but when it does, I kind of welcome it as an opportunity to really shake things up and maybe see some upsets, which there usually are. So I'd usually make it a 16-man tourney and try to seed them as best as possible based on records.

I almost laughed when i read this poll...becasue i am in a similar situation. Monolith won the IP Title...and the only reason he stated he would accept the IP Title shot is to use the #1 contendership to get a Galaxian Title Match. We'll Comm Massif, because he really doesn't like Monolith, or anyone for that reason, tell him what to do, pulled the "I'll give you a Galaxian title match, but you have to vacate the IP Title before getting it" stipulation. Monolith accepted stating that he wouldn't need more than one shot to win the title slammed the IP belt right into Comm Massif's desk accepting the stipulation and ripped the door off its frame as he left the office. I will tell you i have loved Monolith and have loved making it tough on him to get to the title, but he has rolled right along and i expect him to keep right on rolling and win the title...if not in this match (versus Disaster) very soon...he is just too good to be kept down.
Now usually i hold the match ad if the IP Champ win then i vacate the title, but i thought it would be cool to do something different...the first round of th IP Tournament is scheduled for the same card that Monolith gets his Galaxian Title match...no turning back now!

I voted "Other" Force Monolith to vacate the Title. Hold the turney like everyone here thinks is best but have Monolith interfere until he determines the winner with his actions. Then have Monolith continue to destroy every opponent of said Champion until Monolith comes to reclaim the title for himself.
