First off, thanks again to the efforts of Mark Ashby! This man not only added a fun new element to GalactiCon '07, but managed to add in sound effects in post-production that really enhanced an already amazing job.
Thanks to Larry Swank for getting this stuff Online in the Gallery. Next will be the New Beginning Era and then we've got the CPC voice-overs (all of which have already been recorded!). Hopefully next year at G-Con, we'll record a bunch more voices to add even more life to the COTG characters.
The biggest thanks of all to anyone who participated! We chose what we considered the best fit for every character but were amazed at the positive response and turn out in the recording room. It was a blast to hang and laugh with everyone in that cramped little back room for sure.
Special congrats to all the voice-actors who made the final-cut...you'll be going down in history alongside your favorite COTG characters!
Now, they were all great, but which one did you like the best?

Yeah, this was a blast. New Beginnings is next for sure. Still gotta line up some ladies to do some work, but I have two I work with (whatcha call "professionals") who've given me a verbal yes. Personally, though, the Rotunda we've already got is killer. (Thanks again to toasterboy. Wow, he's really talented. ) Maybe at next year's Con, the 2087 and Invasion era? As for the aCe ones, I'll just have to vote from a production standpoint and go with Hybrid. It was fun tracking down and layering all the destruction in that one. For voices, Mr. Bloat. Steinhoff shredded everything we put in front of him in every fed's material.

I think next year at GCon...an Academy Awards style show for best voiceovers. You know, the Osk-ars or the Ashbys

"And the Osk-ar for the best impersonation of a blue snack food obsessed muppet goes to.... Jim Steinhoff!"
Tom: "I was robbed!"

As uninspired as it would be, I keep picturing Esperanto saying things like "Hey yo"....

The GWF ones are AWESOME.
Once a few more female voices are recorded, I'm guessing Ashby will add some effects in.
Looking forward to getting those up in the GWF Gallery when time allows!

Once a few more female voices are recorded, I'm guessing Ashby will add some effects in. Yes, Ashby will. But Ashby has a little thing called CPC 2122 to finish with first. We'll definitely have them at least together by Thanksgiving, then it's up to BDS's timetable to work his magic. We'll get there, no worries.

With all the third person talk in the last post I was expecting "Ashby Smash" in there somewhere. I didn't get to witness a lot of Steinhoff's readings first hand but I can tell you that they were whispered about around the con all weekend.
