I didn't see anyone say they didn't like your art, Kevin.
Plus, it's all subjective. Myself being a musician, us artists have got to know that what we do will be liked by some, and not liked by some.
It's like the Romans, you can't please all of them, all of the time.

So far the announce team seems to be a great idea...I love how we can all work together on this...just one more awesome idea by Tom... Thanks Tom! I have to agree with Swarm that Tom should get props for OKing the idea of doing the group character, but it was Werner who actually came up with the idea of doing the group input on the artwork ala Chuck Carter for this years G-con. And I'm really happy that it will be a part of the next PM set. Yeah Werner!

I thought it would be just nice to have variety of artwork in the set thats all. Sorta what they do in Marvel comics you see tons of cool styles of different artists over the years. Not more of the same ole same ole. The issue here is that it's not like a compilation of different artists, but more like getting one page of Alex Ross artwork in the middle of a Frank Miller comic. I've got to admit, when I had to cut some PM characters to make the numbers work Assassin X was the first on the list. He just doesn't fit in. Again, it's not that the art is bad per se...it's just very different to the other cards. I voted Titan, but I'd also be happy to see a British, Canadian or Japanese character. Just so long as we don't get another Mitsuko the Mongol, with his confused gender and nationality. Yeah it figures I asked the guys what they thought of Assassin X before I decided to enter him into PM and it everyone thought he would be a great fit. Awesome character and than I hear about his neck being broken in his first match, give me a break! If Rob didnt like the character from day one he should have said so and I would have come up with something else. I am never that attached to a character but I didnt want to bring him over to GWF be tossed out and really never used. I thought it would be nice to have a different type of wrestler join. if anything I modifed his story line to be able to work into anyones feds since he could be used as a hired gun. I see my problem is I am thinking maybe way to much into the future and picturing the GWF as an Alien run wrestling federation without steel chairs, ladders, or other current earth types of objects etc since I am picturing a few hundred years into the future and not on current WWE/ECW TV wresters. I think I should have created a brand new character and not even bothered using one of my characters that I created back from way back in 1986 only to be tossed out . I feel like I wasted my time but your right about something cant please everyone I really see that now. Also he is a NEW ALIEN RACE to the GWF and also he is not asian! ;D Take care guys, No hard feelings I just see I was not on the same page on what you really like.

It's not up to ROB what YOUR character for Promoter Madness should've been.
That's the beauty of it, everyone gets to create their own guy (or girl).
And last time I checked just because Rob does something with a character in HIS fed, doesn't mean that's what happens to him in all feds. Plus, it was Monolith who broke his neck. That's not a stretch.
I think the main reason some people maybe didn't like him (like the above poster who "cut" him from his fed) was that, Werner drew every other character, and you drew yours.
The art styles are vastly different. And sometimes that can be good, but for some people, maybe they felt it was just a little too different.
I wouldn't worry about it, Kevin. You've been able to release stuff at GalactiCon for how many years now? Nobody else has, so if some people don't like Assassin X, oh well. I use him in my GWFZ fed, and he's fine.
This game is totally subjective. That's what makes it great.

Just for the record I only had AX break his neck so he could go to aCe. If Kevin reads the GFITG he knows that. The drawing (at least to me) looks like a zombie or monster vs. a more human looking AX like in KK's avatar. First time I saw him I thought be would fit perfectly into aCe so that's what I did. And when I start playing aCe online I will use him.
Plus like Payback said, Kevin has been releasing his Krazy Kards for YEARS. People love them and people buy them. Kevin gets to do the colored cards EVERY YEAR at GCON and people buy those too.
So this is not about anyone NOT liking anything, it's about EVERYONE LOVING WERNER'S ART. He was hired last year by me, Tom approved to see what he had and Werner blew the galaxy away and has since drawn at least two aCe cards, a LOW card (I think) and has officially signed on for PM2.
It's not personal, it's business.
Now lets get back on topic and drop this.

I went with Brymstonian only because I like the Symbiote character so much.
