I know that I have seen something posted about him before, but I was just wondering a few things about Amazing Mann.
What character (real life wrestler/comic book/etc) would you compare him the most too? I remember seeing Harry Houdini's name listed, but is there anybody else?
What about Spider-Man? The reason that I ask is well, first his name ("Amazing" Spider-Man), second I think I've read that he has an ability to get out of certain moves, is it anything like Spider-Man's spider sense or how does it work?
If not Spider-Man then is there anybody else that he reminds you of?

Amazing Mann has contortionist and escape artist abilities that allow him to escape from submission moves. It is simply skill and flexibility...nothing like a spider sense.
He doesn't necessarily remind of any one wrestler. In general though, he is like old time shootfighters (Stu Hart maybe) in that he can put you into submission hold and is a master of escaping them.

In my fed I see The Amazing Mann as a non drugged up Kurt Angle (just kidding you wacky Angle fans!). Seriously though, I see him as a guy who is really intense and can transition from submission to submission with ease.
In my fed he's not really that much of a showman either...that part is more Vin Strutter's influence.

He kinda reminds me of Dean Malenko but a bit more of a showboat.

That's actually a really good comparison Troy. I like that.

In my fed, I guess he's more Shawn Michaels than anyone else. He's kinda drifted in and out of that persona for me the last couple of years. Not that he's a Michaels clone, just if I had to pick someone that he represents...it's Shawn Michaels.

I see him as a total freak show, creepy, weird. In my fed he never talks, it's always Strutter who talks for him. He is a silent assassin , so I guess to me he's Kevin from Sin City. Cold , calculating and able to escape anything and anybody. I guess that makes Tanck Marv in my fed.
EDIT : BTW , Amazing Man's real name is Kevin and he wears round lensed glasses when he's not wrestling.....I don't have any proof to back that up but hey , what the hell.

I'm currently thinking of breaking up the Greatest Show. When I do, he'll drop the gimmick and be pushed as a submissionist called Iron Mann.

I like the Malenko comparison too....Mann was one of those characters I didn't initially care much about, but he's been so unexpectedly successful in my fed, he's grown on me.
I picture him more the quiet type....maybe a little dramatic with how he conducts his moves and actions, but not in a loud way. I love TGSITG....it even breathed life into Tanck, which is cool.

What's odd in my fed is that the guy has more success in matches when Vin Strutter is not around! On my last card he beat Disaster in a Titan Death match. The thing is he never done anything illegal, so it was a good way in showing something like how the disciplined mat master could easily defeat a wild brawler.

Let me know on ya plans for the Trickster! Not sure. He and/or Freak will probably end up in Omen's Dark Side stable with Nosfera and Gatekeeper.

In my fed, The Amazing Mann is very similar in wrestling style to Kurt Angle but has temperament of Dean Malenko.
He is one of my favorite wrestlers because ha ALWAYS puts on a good match. He may not always win the big matches, but he always makes them exciting. He had a feud with Tauron for the Interplanetary title that is one of my favorite feuds in the history of the GWF.
The Amazing Mann's inability to make it to the Main Event level is becoming a strong storyline in my fed. He is fed up with Strutter's showmanship and feels that he can become a main eventer if he were allowed to focus on wrestling and not all the "sideshow stuff" that comes with Strutter's group. But he is contractually obligated to Strutter, so he has to put up with the "circus atmosphere". Will The Amazing Mann ever be able to break free of Strutter and become the Main Event star he thinks he is? Only the dice know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Amazing Mann just defeated Disaster in the finals of a tournament to fill the vacant GWF Galaxian Championship. It was one of the most exciting Championship matches I have had in a long time. Disaster pounded away on Mann with power moves, bloodying him. The Amazing Mann countered with great mat wrestling. In the end, Vin Strutter blinded Disaster with a flash of light, allowing Mann to apply the Contortion to make Disaster tap out. GREAT MATCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone tried turning AM face?
I'm seriously considering it, but I'm not sure if I'd have him break from Strutter, or turn the whole team.
Any thoughts?

Amazing Mann is more or less a face in my fed. The fans cheer for him because they respect his wrestling ability. (Like when Kurt Angle was feuding with Cena. Angle did everything he could to get booed, including blasting the U.S. troops, but the fans still cheered him). Amazing Mann is still associated with Vin Strutter in my fed, but he HATES it. He hates the circus atmosphere that Strutter keeps promoting. But Mann is contractually tied to Strutter for the next 5 years. The "face" being contractually tied to the "heel" is an interesting story element for me.

Wildfire as you know the Amazing Mann has been close to turning face on a number of occassions, and he's probably the most popular heel in my fed...IE if he's matched up with another heel the fans will cheer for him over any other heel. I've given some thought to giving him a face turn, but I'm not sure yet. How will you know my decision? READ MY FED! Ha!

Might have to steal some of these ideas. Been thinking about how to do more of a face Amazing Mann myself. Of course, he'll have to start winning for me for it to work.
