*WRESTLER OF THE YEAR*

*MONOLITH: Everybody knows the story...handed the title in his debut match at SUBVERSION 2121 following the no - show of then current belt holder Havoc, the rookie monster demanded an opponent... after nearly being humbled by Tauran in his first official act of combat he turned it around and won the match with only one move, END OF ALL THINGS...

a shocking loss to Tristan and Tanck in a Trion Triple Threat Match separated him from the GWF GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP for a short time, but not for long...

after losing the brutal and historic BATTLE TO THE DEATH to Disaster, most notably going down 10- 0 in a BEST TO TEN FALLS CLASSIC, MONOLITH found himself in the good graces of the New Commissioner, Swarm...or so it seemed, and offered a chance at the belt once more...set to battle his Andromeda rival at GALACTAMANIA XLI as part of the Co-Main Event, the rules were changed at eleventh hour and after squashing Swarm in less than a minute in their first ever encounter, the Cleansed half man half rhino found himself face to face with Tauran once again, and once again for the GWF Title...

...disposing of Tauran for the Title a second time MONOLITH showed up the next night on MONDAY NIGHT BRAWL and issued what he called the FEDERATION WIDE CHALLENGE.Challenging and taking on multiple GWF wrestlers one after the other for weeks, MONOLITH rolled over Plethador, Dead Ringer, Tanck, American Guy, Rage, Paralyze, and Endgame that night...all in one night...the following MNB the Champion bulldozed through Antak, Gryt, and Anivar before his FEDERATION WIDE CHALLENGE was stopped in it's tracks by Panther Warrior...pinning his fellow Ani-Man with JUNGLE NIGHTS, Panther Warrior has yet to see a rematch with MONOLITH and to this day, is the only wrestler in the GWF with a 1- 0 record vs him...

with a bruised ego but Championship still intact (the match vs. Warrior was non-title) MONOLITH would find himself defending his still new title vs. the man who beat him in THE BATTLE TO THE DEATH, Disaster, after the Aethran Icon was the winner of an Intergalactic wide GFITG fan voting poll...

Losing the belt and again to Disaster MONOLITH now found himself a 2 time ex-GWF CHAMPION heading into the year end extravaganza, IMPOSSIBLE TOURNAMENT...

Long story short, MONOLITH makes GFITG History regaining the GWF CHAMPIONSHIP from Disaster in Bracket # 1 along with crushing Swarm and Endgame as well...moving on to the finals the now 3 time Rookie Champion rolls though the competition blowing by Rage, The Amazing Mann and Encubus finishing the 2121 IMPOSSIBLE TOURNAMENT CHAMPION with a perfect 6 - 0 record...

that should have been it for MONOLITH in 2121, but it wasn't...enjoying a nice lay off during the GWF off season, the Champion was pulled back into competition one more time for the Maxine Babe Fund Raiser Festival just days ago and lost the GWF CHAMPIONSHIP to Swarm in their 3rd ever meeting...

MONOLITH, who continues to get bigger, stronger, faster...angrier...has already been told by the GWF he will be Main Eventing the first card of year, SUBVERSION 2122 vs. Swarm in his re-match for the GWF GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP...in STRETCHER MATCH.

Despite the loss to Swarm at the end of the year, many insiders believe MONOLITH is a lock for WRESTLER OF THE YEAR 2121...


*Disaster: Much of Disaster's story in 2121 is told in in the Monolith log as the two behemoths went at it all year long...Coming out on top of his battles with MONOLITH, Disaster did not win the war as it was him losing the belt last at IMPOSSIBLE TOURNAMENT...

he did however win one war that up until 2121, had been the biggest blip on radar of his career...walking into a BEST TO 10 FALLS CLASSIC vs. Endgame with an 0 - 17 record vs. the mysterious hero, many critics thought a loss here would send Disaster into the mid cards and out of the Main Events forever...

He won...in what many called a potential MOTY, finally getting the monkey that was Endgame off of his back...

The Aethran Icon's year ended tough though as his last two matches were losses...vs. MONOLITH for the belt, and vs. another rookie Andromedan monster, Umagapotamus...

Disaster will face Umagapotamus in a re-match at SUBVERSION 2122 fans...

Regardless of the tough losses, Disaster dominated BATTLE TO THE DEATH vs. MONOLITH, claimed his 3rd GWF GALAXIAN TITLE this year, and defeated Endgame in one of the biggest matches of his life, no doubt earning him consideration for WRESTLER OF THE YEAR...


*Swarm: For the second year in a row, despite not holding the GWF GALAXIAN TITLE all year up until two days ago, The King, The Icon, The held to higher standards than any wrestler in the galaxy, Swarm, carried the GFITG on his back...

Holding his Commissioner position all year long, Swarm started out the year fighting off Epoch and Avarice...Fans loved his booking and he even went as far as to put his buddy Antakbob in charge one of the highest rated MONDAY NIGHT BRAWL shows ever...

after a short feud with Nosfera who had sparked the battle after an attack on She Devil, which Swarm won, he entered into a series of four and five star matches with Tauran as the then mostly laid back Commissioner was making a bit of a heel turn...the fans of course still loved him...

booking himself vs. MONOLITH at GALACTAMANIA XLI, his plan of winning back the GWF TITLE he had not yet worn all year, back fired on him as his rookie foe destroyed him and instead went on to win the belt that night, not Swarm...

Swarm lost in what could be voted MOTY vs. Endgame in a BEST TO 10 FALLS CLASSIC 10 Falls to 8 Falls at BFC 17...

the losing streak continued as Swarm went 0 - 3 in IMPOSSIBLE TOURNAMENT losing to MONOLITH, Disaster, and Endgame, again...

Swarm entered the GWF off season in charge of developing the GWFZ ZONE...recruiting Payback to help scout the fighters, and some LOW experts to help scout the tapes of the fighters, Swarm assembled a group of 15 fighers...

after months of rigorous work Swarm was finished and the GWFZ debuted on card # 1110 from Champions Hall, Ceres!

The black and yellow warrior would defeat his new arch-rival Hegemony in a KISS MY A** MATCH...the feud between the Icon and the work rate blow hard would continue and Hegemony would score a huge win with HEGEMONIC BORDERS at BFC 19...

their third and final match would prove to be the blow off match as Swarm destroyed Hegemony 10 - 0 in a BEST TO 10 CLASSIC, humiliating the GWFZ heel as American Dragon Bryan Danielson watched from the front row eating popcorn...amazingly, no one recognized him...

After winning the feud with Hegemony Swarm traded wins with another GWFZ villain, the dangerous Symbiote...

still healing from head wounds in his bloody battles with Symbiote, Swarm went on to book himself vs. MONOLITH one last time this year, and the last time proved to be the best time, as for the first time this year, Swarm captured the GWF GALAXIAN CHAMPIONSHIP to close it out...

Can he add WRESTLER OF THE YEAR to his list of accomplishments in 2121...?


*Tanck: The long shot. After what seemed destined for mid card fodder, Tanck joined Vin Strutter's Greatest Show in the Galaxy in 2121 and soon became a mega-superstar...

Dominating the ranks as GWF WARGAMES CHAMPION, a great feud with Tristan earned him a promising reign as GWF GALAXIAN CHAMPION...He would hold the belt for a great amount of time only to lose it to Tauran at GALACTAMANIA 2121...

With a history of tossing MONOLITH around and giving the giant some of the closest calls of the year, Tanck established himself as a Main Eventer going into 2122...

With the taste of championship glory fresh in his belly, Tanck has challenged his fellow GSITG member The Amazing Mann to a match at SUBVERSION 2122 for The Amazing Mann's MONEY IN THE BANK contract...

The Amazing Mann has yet to accept the challenge...

Can Tanck win WRESTLER OF THE YEAR despite being the super under dog? Probably not but he did have a hell of a year...

I'm going with MONOLITH.

This was a tough one but going undefeated in Impossible Tournament is next to well.....impossible. But he did it, and he was a very dominant champion.

Plus, he killed Assassin X with a Gladiator Piledriver.

His loss to Disaster in the Battle to the Death was really his only blemish (along with losing to Swarm and Panther Warrior)

If you want a big match, put this guy's name in, and there you have it.

He gets my vote.

I could have easily voted for Disaster, but the Impossible Tournament undefeated streak couldn't be denied. Monolith gets my vote. (note, I may be a bit biased because I really, really love Monolith and Disaster has been something of a Jobber to the Stars in my fed)

I voted Disaster...I wanted to go Monolith, but he just dropped one too many matches against guys he should've absolutely crushed.

The Umagapotomus loss for Disaster was a pure fluke.

Had to go with Monolith. Not only was his card great, but his buildup (starting with his clubber lang challenge to Havoc) and his execution for the entire year absolutely ruled.
