I'm new to this game just discovered it not long ago online. I just got the new beginnings set and it's great. Should I go all the way back to the beginning or is this a good spot to start? Thanks for any input.

What they said - you picked a great game, and a great time to jump aboard. If you could, make sure you post some of your fed results over in Fed Forum. Look forward to reading them!

Thanks for any input. Welcome to the board. Given the question you asked...you may find it helpful to gain a broader context by reading about the history of the game at the COTG Wikipedia Entry. Personally I'd recommend starting from the very beginning with the Classics Sets as outlined in the link. Then you can always move forward at your own pace with the other sets sequentially...without ever missing out on everything COTG has had to offer over the years.
LWPD (once you feel comfortable with basic game play you can explore specialty matches and other concepts by visiting the House Rules section of this board...there's a very rich history of content to draw from and I'm sure you'll find many helpful people who can answer any questions or react to any ideas you may have)

WELCOME MONKEY!!!! As Swarm said go ahead and pick up the Subversions now or ASAP. Then if I was you in your own time and as money is available I would start with the Classics & Early Classics then buy the game year by year. You are missing out on some great characters and storys so I would def buy the rest!!!!!
