This topic was originally discussed in this thread and I'm introducing this poll to gage if there's interest to pursue the creation of an Online COTG Hall of Fame project. Many here are long time players and I have no doubt that the 'ability' and knowledge bank exists to create a worthwhile project...I just want to see if the motivation is there to make it viable. If you are 'not interested' and see this thread then please take a moment to vote. The purpose of the poll is to see whether or not this would be practical...knowing if there's a concrete lack of interest is helpful.
At this point the entire concept of a COTG Online Hall of Fame is merely an abstraction and no set in stone format exists. It is something that would have to be developed through participation. All of the particulars involved in formatting such a project are open to public debate and eventual comprise could be reached among whoever wants to participate.
The primary benefit of such a project would be to open up conversation to COTG characters and game editions 'from the past' that tend to get very little discussion in the here and now. Discourse about 'the greats' of the past and explanations by players about 'what made them great' in a dynamic format like this message board would ideally help Tom and his game editions gain more exposure...while providing more motivation for those who are now playing vintage editions out (and possibly inspiring others to visit game content that may otherwise may not have been interested in experiencing).
