Massif won my title in Janurary of 87', he beat Exo-King in the finals. He lost it his first defence against King and that was the ONLY title he ever held in my fed of any kind .

Star Warrior.
Why are Spike, Bounty Hunter and Splatter on this list since they aren't from 2087?

Thantos and Star Warrior met in my opening World title finals, with Thantos getting the win.

The winner of my 87 tourney was Thantos... but I do not consider him my first champion. That would Omega of Cetus in the year 2074 so I vote other. Thantos could be the answer ya seek, but in my opinion it is Omega.

Thantos beat Star Warrior if my official tourney. In my unofficial tournament Massif beat Executioner. (I went one way but didn't like how my tourneys went, so I reran both my singles and tag tourney)

Star Warrior won my "Rigel Rumble" match, last eliminating Thantos, to become my first GWF champion. He held the title for six months before losing it to Thantos.

In my original fed, Comrade Terror won the tournament to crown the first Champion and immediately laid on the mat so that Thantos could run out and pin him to win the title. Dreadnaught was always blindly loyal to Thantos. He won the title and laid down for him three different times.

Massif over Thantos in the tournament final, and he would defend it for three months before finally losing to Thantos in a cage.

Is it just me or is it strange that Thantos never won a World Championship for me. He won the Universal (I-P) and the GameMasters won the Tag titles but no World title for Thantos.

That is strange, but it also highlights one of the great things about this game. In my fed, Thantos is the most decorated champion in history, but this varies by each person's individual experience of this game. I actually love to see examples like this as they show the complexity of COTG and truly makes the game feel very personal.

Commander Sam fortunately beat Ghengis Khan in my final. Thantos went out in round 1, I recall. SW made it to the semis and lost to Khan. Ah, the days of basic rules.
