Just throwing names out to try and make a point, really wasn't thinking about levels but both Snelly and Werner are better than Su IMO. Did Su just get mentioned on level with Werner and Snelly? |

[chuckles....... Chuck is a legend, he paved the way even with some of his lack luster drawings by todays standards. Thantos , Wolf, StarWarrior are legendary stuff. There would be no Werners or Sus or Snellys if Chuck wasn't there with Tom at the beginning. See, to me, those are legendary 'characters', they are by no means legendary 'artwork'...props to Tom, no props to Chuck, in my opinion. |

See, to me, those are legendary 'characters', they are by no means legendary 'artwork'...props to Tom, no props to Chuck, in my opinion. That's not entirely fair. COTG has always been about's Tom's ability to tell a great story- but the artwork has always been important as well. Think about all of the complaints about artwork over the years.... there have been some great CHARACTERS overshadowed by poor artwork (some people don't use the character, other people find it hard to "get into them"). Chuck did a great job, ESPECIALLY with the first 3 sets- and if he didn't do a great job, COTG isn't here today. Ironically, Werner's probably got the closest style to Chuck's of all the other artists. He's really come into his own, and I can speak from experience when I say that he's great to work with. Despite Chuck's legendary status, I'm voting for my EC wingman. We've seen Chuck's best work, and it's great. But I think that Werner's best is yet to come, and I'm excited to see it. |

but Werner is better. Werner has my vote.

Werner is the man...Chuck was good and the original, but Werner is the future.
