Who is your favorite COTG artist? I put other in case I missed someone.
I'd have to say my fav is GWF current artist Daryl Banks.
PS: Although, I might get flamed, my least fav is the original, Chuck Carter.

Every artist has brought something different to the table.
Chuck Carter was the original and did several classics that still hold up today.
Larry Snelly drew some of the coolest as well. Was great with detail but fell short on some of the faces.
Jeremy Su gave amazing drawings like the Mandrill SE, Thunder, and Mensar.
But the artist (of course IMO) that has the "best of all worlds" is current artist, Daryl Banks.
What a tough choice to have to make!

I give the slight nod to Larry Snelly, although Daryl Banks is right up there.
Chuck Carter was the original and holds a special place in my heart, but his later editions looked sloppy and in some cases uninspired to me. Guys like the fat U.S. Patriot, Sectarian, etc.....
I think the only one I by and large didn't care for was Bendis. He seemed to be striving for a unique look, but I found a lot of his drawings to be flat or cartoony.

Werner is the man, but out of the official guys I'd say Carter.

Definately Daryl Banks, though Werner is a close second. I also really like about 2/3 of Chuck Carter's stuff, but his inconsistency drove me crazy!

I just like Snelly. Voted for him. Banks is cool. Quick question who is Mike Gustovich? never heard of him. What game years did he draw?

Inconsistency....that's a good word for it. Some cards in a set would be really good, others would be very lame. His last contribution, that Murdok one, was one of his best.....but I remember being VERY happy when Snelly took over.

Quick question who is Mike Gustovich? never heard of him. What game years did he draw? He drew part of 2098 (Heracles, Colossus, Killing Machine, and Doomsayer) and part of 2079 (Commander Sam, Morpheus, and The Estorians). Might have been a couple others. I thought he was ok...Sam 2079 is in my top 5. He just looks like a grizzled bad*ss in that pic.

Carter was always by far and away my favorite artist until Banks came along...
but as of late, Werner Mueck is tearing it up people...he did 14 cards for PROMOTER MADNESS and they are all perfect. Really one of the best sets that will have ever been released by Filsinger Games...and I know I sound biased but I'm not. His stuff in this set is imo, some of the best work I have ever seen for this game. So I voted for Werner.

If it weren't for Snelly's artwork, I probably wouldn't have bought the game to begin with. Werner's art is great, and always improving, but Snelly's Da Man!

Damn.
I wish this poll would've come out after aCe 2121. Just wait until you see what Darryl has done this time.
There are updates galore..over 50% of the roster is a known guy getting remade. Some classic GWF characters getting redone.
I've been calling it the "aCe makeover," but it's better called the Banks Effect, to be honest.

I voted for Carter, have to go with the original. However, I really like Werner's PM stuff, and Banks is pretty damn good, too. Actually I like most stuff, save a lot of Bendis drawings...

Chuck, Hannibal and Su are great all around...
Bendis had some great individual pieces as well
But Larry Snelly was absolutely the best, i don't think there is one character that Snelly drew that is not GREAT!

Scott Rosema's legends art is fantastic.
Carter was unbeatable for the first two sets, but his work fell off after the third to the point that he lost the crown in my eyes. Banks is probably my favorite COTG artist.

Snelly is my all time favorite. Just a lot of classic poses and looks that still stand up today. I wonder what he's doing these days... and if he would ever come back to draw another set... not that I lie awake dreaming about winning Promoter Madness II and having Larry draw my card or anything...
