I was looking over my booking records trying to get the final card for my upcoming Wrestlemania PPV when I noticed a disturbing thing.......the roster is starting to look to small! Now granted I have a few guys who have been injured and could still compete if I use the Injury chart, but in my mind that wouldn't be much fun right now. But with thos injuries it made it very hard to peice together a good card. I think I did it, but still... So I think the roster need to be expanded. And I'm not talking about back to the days when there where so many wrestlers some got lost (the Civil War, Sudden Death 2, MegaTournament days), but a nice easy increase of the current roster might be in order. Add some more women back to the roster, I think each team should have one. Groups should have four members at least (tag teams are exempt so the Milky Way Guys are OK). This is what I think, but it could just be me, but what do the rest of you think? I'd like to know. Big Time

At Times it does seem a little small for me also. Of course it doesn't help that I have the 8 wrestlers in the MWT in their own little circuit.
If I counted right there are 48 official and semi-official cards in 2121 of these...
4 don't wrestle (Vidtek, Omen, Strutter, Dark Menace) leaving 44 of these...
8 are women (basically curtain jerker's for me) leaving 36 wrestling males, of these...
3 are LE cards (Rush, Plethador, Scimitar) if you don't have them your down to 33 cards, I'll assume most people on the board have them bringing us back up to 36 cards of these...
22 are on 11 official tag teams leaving us 14 single wrestlers, this gives us a final tally of...
14 wrestlers on the single circuit 11 Tag teams ( 4 of which are in the MWT) 8 Women 4 non wrestlers.
If you hold a lot of cards it can make scheduling a little challenging, but its also an opportunity for creativity. You can schedule Face v face match up, a rarity in "real" prowrestling, or the even rarer heel v heel. I also use Genisis and Central command as both tag teams and single wrestlers. You can always hold off the retirement of wrestlers (not everybody retires on Jan 1st) , bring back retired wrestlers, or bring in wrestlers from another orginazation. But your right, it would be nice to have about two more single wrestlers and one more tag Team to fill out the roster.

I prefer a smaller size roster because I rarely get time to play. One of the reasons I stopped playing my 2087 fed in 2099 was just because there were TOO many wrestlers. I had to have three cards just so everyone could wrestle once!
Just my thoughts.

I think 30 is a good roster size for a fed. I plan to split the "modern era" roster when it gets too big.

I agree, 30 is a good number.

To me it's just right ...I did add a few of my own wrestlers into the mix...but still with out them it would work.

Maybe CPC and GWF should be reunizted as one fed ? Ummmmm....no. The GWF guys would kill the CPC guys worse than WWF over WCW in the Invasion.

Possibly...although I intergrate several of the CPC and aCe in my fed...I could see how the GWF could be deemed as a small roster...

I don't think Pendekar is going to be jobbing to Endgames wife anytime soon. Maybe I'll hold some interpromotinal exhibition matches this week. I don't think anyone in the CPC is at the level of the GWF elites (Monolith, Endgame, Disaster, Bloodline, and Encubus) but I wouldn't be surprised if they could hold their own against the second tier (Kill Prey, Amazing Mann, Rush, Swarm, Payback, and Panther Warrior). Plus, I think some of the CPC Tag Teams would be competitive against the GWF's. I don't think the CPC and GWF should recombine; that would be too many wrestlers in one fed which would mean many good characters would be cut. Although I could see Barnabas working with Epoch and The Dark Menace.

Yeah, I wouldn't want 'em to recombine, either. They each got their own flava. But a couple interpromotional events a year would be kinda cool.
I'd like the GWF to be just slightly bigger, mainly in the cruiserweight department. I don't have a GWF Cruiserweight Title anymore because it's the same three or four guys always going for it. But that's about the only place I'd expand it. We don't need to go back to the 8 billion wrestler roster days of the Cosmic Battle era.

I don't want it a lot bigger, but it's tough in that by capping the league you either have to have a bunch of retirements/leaving wrestlers or a ton of updated guys. One year cards are annoying to me.

I like the roster size in its "trimmed down" size. But a few more singles guys and maybe 2 more tag teams couldn't hurt.

I'd say the absolute max on wrestlers--men and women--should be about 50. 38-40 men and 6-8 women at most.
Not so sure about every team needing 4 guys...I rather like having teams of different sizes. I'm a fan of the women's division, but I wouldn't want Tom to create women's wrestlers for a team just for the sake of having one.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know the year in which the roster was at its biggest? I'd guess one of the CPC editions, but that's a little iffy since you technically had two feds going on, but it was mostly played as one.

Not sure of the year, but I know the roster was at over 70 wrestlers at some point. 2108 maybe?

its getting to be a good size but not there yet. I love it when guys in tag teams arent in singles action and vice-versa.
