Do you mean what decides how we book matches? For me, it's a little of both, really. If you had a third button called 'both' I'd pick that.

Ok - a quick history of how I run my fed.
Rankings run everything! You winning streak helps you win the Interplanetary, Tag Team or Women's title. You total cumulative ranking points (what I call "stroke", in my appreciation of Jeff Jarrett) helps you get a shot at the Heavyweight Title. When the two singles wrestlers with the highest combined stroke rating wrestle, the winner is rewarded with a title shot. For the most part, it keeps the best wrestlers in the mix, although an occasional quirky situation comes into play, such as when The Mimic defeated K.O. Keller to become the GWF Heavyweight Champion.
Where do feuds come into play? Well, defeating fueding opponents earns you more points, and it also allows for more specialty matches to be signed, as feuding opponents like to face off in more varied and/or violent matches. The rankings are the focus, but the feuds tend to make the cards and the wrestlers better in both the rankings and the storylines.

rankings determine the no 1 contender for each belt.

It's mostly rankings ...Climbing the ladder..Feuds can help or hurt a wrestler..The winner of the feud ends up with more ranking points but if they get bogged down they lose the title spots...There are only so many title spots in a year. That's how the fluke can sneak in at times...But the cream usually rise to the top in time...

I have a formula which I plug in to rankings. A wrestler receives "credits" for winning matches. Credits then help determine down the road, who should be eligible for title shots.
However, I do keep win-lose records too, and feuds do play a role in title shots as well, but the credits will help when things seem to be at a stand still and no one is gaining ground in feuds or w-l records.

Gotta be feuds. I don't do rankings. It's too time consuming. I just see who's hot and unless they're involved in a sweet feud, I gauge their feud successes and push them into title shots.

Two things that help sell a wrestling events . That is title matches (usually the main event) and feuds . Does rankings really matter ? . I mean have you ever seen any WWE ranking system ? . Feuds are great . Monolith v Disaster or rankings ? . Come on please .

I actually can't answer this one, because it depends on the fed for me. For my aCe, it's mostly done off of feuds. Every once in a while I'll have a "#1 Contender's Match," but the participants in them are arbitrarily decided.
For my GWF fed, which I play when I just feel like rolling some dice, it's done off of rankings almost excxlusively. I've got a spreadsheet set up that i plug numbers to and it spits out my rankings at the end of each month.

Ditto...Rankings come into play mostly, but i do hold a supercard each year where everyone wrestles their main feud...always causes a shake up in the title scene if a champ goes against a feuder who has been out of it and the feuder wins! Last year this happened when Switchblade was my Galaxian Champ and Sly Drury (who i bashed here) walked into a galaxian title match even though he no where near deserved it in my rankings. Luckily Switchblade won, but it hasn't always gone that way in the past! We'll have to see about this year as that "Feud Night" will be held in about a month or so!

Since I don't keep rankings, I would have to say feuds. Although how you factor in recent matches does play a factor into title matches.

I dont do rankings...to me its feuds and quality wins....you could beat up on Death-knight in my fed but if you cant win against Thantos, Blade,Wolf, Massiff, etc. you stay mid-card at best!

That was a tough choice. I like booking my matches around feuds, but i also do it around the rankings. For instance i just had an EC card and i booked Commander Sam against Torpor, But Sam was ranked 4th and Torpor was 11th. But it is still a feud because of their history, Torpor won somehow. But i chose rankings on this poll, because when i give out title shots you must be a contender. I like to have my GWF title defended against the top five in rankings and for the IP or secondary titles against anyone in the top ten.

I had to go with feuds as rankings are usually only for the top contenders to make a run for a belt.

Feuds most definitely. I don't really use rankings much. I pretty much go by my gut feeling. I will have contender's matches and whatever to decide contenders. Feuds are pretty much it.

I choose rankings, but feuds definately play a part. While I've experiented (and continue to do so) which ranking systems of various types, I most often come back to doing the ranking by feel, whose hot, etc. I LOVE stats, and crave to have them, but wrestling just isn't very quantifiable, so its a tough call good topic

While feuds do play a part in my feds, I place more of an emphasis on rankings, because one feuding opponent usually has a better won-loss record than his enemy, and they rarely face each other, if ever.

While rankings are certainly a consideration for me, I personally tend to go more with storylines and feuds.
