It sound like Tom maybe closing the books on at least one Federation. ACE is only a three parter and then who knows? And mark is committed only up to CPC 2122. In your opinion Should any of the four wrestling organizations close?

I think I sounded off about this already in aCe forum, in case someone missed it....NONE OF THE ABOVE
Of course, as promoters, we have a say in this by purchasing the Filsinger Games products that we enjoy.

While I'm not up to aCe or the regular CPC editions yet, I have to chose none! I love to change up the pace so that any of my feds never get stale.
I rotate between GWF, Legends and my Memphis bootleg set. Between the 3, it keeps me busy and keeps everything fresh!!!

I know I'm in the minority here (and it's not because I don't play them - I do own both CPC and aCe) but I say both CPC and aCe should end after the next edition, maybe 2.
Reason being, Tom said aCe would be a short-lived creation as the nature of the Holy War shouldn't take forever to play out.
For the CPC, the current version (apart from GWF) has been running on its own for some time, but look at the forum here on the website. I know not all game players come to the site, but I'd guess a vast majority do. The 2 biggest forums are GWF and LOW. So, for Tom, I can see him making this move. Plus, if you know Tom, you know that GWF will always be around, and LOW was the reason he wanted to make a game in the 1st place. Plus, with LOW's name recognition factor, along with being Tom's childhood dream, that's not going anywhere.
Also, Tom has made mention that he is always wanting to try new things. For him to do this, I think he doesn't want to have too many irons in the fire. He would still have to oversee anything that Filsinger Games produces and it would become too much.
So, while CPC has had a great run and aCe definitely was awesome, I think we should welcome change here and trust the man who has created this game that we love so very much!

As I posted before in the aCe forum, if one had to go, I would say aCe. Only, ONLY because of the lack of history when compared to the CPC and the GWF.
I really enjoy all three and the differences in them make each individually interesting on its own footing.
As for Gatekeeper's post, I can understand Tom's sentiment to LOW and how it must have drawn a huge amount of people that wouldn't go for COTG to the game. Maybe I am in the minority but in my game playing mindset LOW is just not on the same level as COTG. In LOW, the handbooks are fun to read the bios and historical events, feuds but the story has already been written and there are no ties that bind each wrestler to one another. Now, I realize that leaves a good deal up to the promoter to create and interpret but I would rather have a fed like the GWF or CPC or aCe where the story is brand new and over the year you can write your own history.
That being said, I bought the first two editions of LOW and liked it but didn't love it. I'll take my GWF, CPC and aCe anyday (and I'll buy those editions whenever they come out). Maybe our dollar votes will be strong enough, maybe not.

I completely agree with this. I have no desire to play LOW. Maybe someday if I ever feel I don't want to play COTG (though I can't see that ever happening) then maybe I would play LOW. But like you said, I would feel weird writing a fed that is all with "real" wrestlers. I enjoy the sci-fi part of COTG. It kind of gives you an "anything goes" as far as storyline writing. This is what makes it so enjoyable (well, at least one reason).

none of them. but if it was one that HAD to close --- the CPC. its really good in its own way but it doesnt have the history of the GWF or the breath of fresh air coolness and potential that aCe has.

None of 'em...=P
Not saying that one or more couldn't use some shake-ups (not necessarily in creative, but in production) but I rather like the growing universe. That said, I also wouldn't look into adding any more, as there really aren't any niches left to be filled.

None of them . NEVER close any . If you do not like any federation released . Then simply DO NOT BUY that game edition/s .
Just because there are not loads of hits on CPC page , doesn't mean it is a rubbish federation ? SURELY ! . Some of the questions / topics in GWF pages are CPC linked . Like do you use managers , aren't they ?
I am not mad on aCe , but I do not believe in killing it . I keep fighting and plodding on with it . Maybe my thoughts will change to liking aCe more one day .

Well I can understand Tom potentially wanting to cut a federation for two reasons, economics and time. Even though someone else writes the game edition and does the characters, Tom is quite involved with it. Also, with the spreading of the sets over the year, Tom will have no downtime away from the games. Also, I can understand that the CPC and aCe might well be cannibalizing sales from the other one. It's not an easy decision, but I trust Tom will make the right one.

What ya'll need to understand is that Tom has plans for all kinds of different things...
nothing in stone, but as a close friend of his, I know he has mentioned more than once he'd like to do an all Aethran set, possibly explore the GWFZ, maybe even a Brymstone fed...
so while the CPC and aCe will go, there are plenty of other wild and creative ideas in Tom's head wating to take their place...
Classics came and went...
same with the Birthday Bash sets...
so this really shouldn't be taking anyone by surprise...
