I'm married, but I have been playing for 16 years. My wife still gives me a hard time being 33 and playing a dice rolling wrestling game. She's come to like it though, but I always wonder what others thought.
Do you admit to anyone you date (or eventually marry, which they would find out anyways), that you play COTG?
BTW-- I meant to put HIDE the dice..sorry

Of course I do. Saves me a lot of aggravation down the road. If they're going to flake out on me over COTG (or any of my other, esoteric hobbies) I'd rather know up front before I get too involved.

Always! It's a hobby. I enjoy it and if my girl doesn't approve "tough". It's not like they don't do things that we have issues with, like to much shopping. Also everyone has hobbies.
tkx again

My fiancee thought it was dumb when we first got together, but she is an on-again-off-again wrestling fan anyway. She asked one day if I could show her how to play (out of boredom), but ended up liking it. Sad part is that no matter who I choose, she always seems to pick the right person to beat my guy. We just do exhibition type matches just for fun, but I think my record against her with both of us using various wrestlers is like 10-50 or something.

On a side note, I can never beat her in a wrestling video game either. Go figure.

Well, i don't recall if my wife ever knew before we got married that I played, but when she did find out she thought it was OK but expressed no intrest in playing (she dislikes pro wrestling in general anyway). I told my ex and she even rolled a few matches with me, seemed to like it though. Big Time.

To quote my wife...who not a wrestling fan and has a very limited imagination...
"you aren't go to play that dumb wrestling game again are you?"
Sometimes you just can't win with non-imaginative people, but she does keep me "grounded" when it comes to other stuff so i tolerate (barely) the badmouthing she gives the CotG.
I tried to get her to play when we were dating, but she just doesn't "get it"...and i still married her!

I didn't hide it...although the subject never really came up. When we were married, she asked what I was doing and I explianed the whole thing..."oh" was my response. My wife HATES wrestling and she is like PB's wife "playing that dumb wrestling game again?"Gag..."

When I got back into COTG in 2004 I told my girlfriend about it and she was actually jealous that she didn't have a hobby of her own. She doesn't have a problem with it at all. She reads my recaps and has her favorites and people she hates, the whole shebam, although she's never actually played the game. She was a bandwagon fan of the Attitude era (before we met) but then when we started living together I got her into watching RAW again.

Sure my wife Suzanne knows about my COTG . She played 1 or 2 matches early on . Has helped me create some bootleg moves . I have use some of her ideas for story lines . She spilt coffee over my blue CPC cards once Arrrrggghh . She also hates it , when I am waiting for the latest game set to arrive . But nothing comes for sometimes days or even a week . By god I moan for England ha ha . There is no shame in playing COTG . It is better than doing alot of things I could name !

When my wife and I started dating I dont think she knew. It wasnt any effort on my part to keep it hidden, as she knew i liked wrestling, collected action figures, played other games of the like.
Once we were married she saw me playing and asked how to play. I showed her and now she plays matches with me now and then. She really enjoys it, and she k nows it makes me happy.

My whole family knows. My wife and daughter like to roll the dice and always try to get my cards from me to color so I am constantly fighting them off. My son is starting up his own fed (he is 11), my cousin and brother have their own feds.

If she sees my COTG (which is always out) then I usually explain it, and we play. 99% of the time the next time they come over they want to play again.

If you mention this game to a girl, it couldn't be rightb off the bat. It'd have to be something you share after you've known them awhile. I've shown the game to only a few girls I've dated (the serious ones).
