OK, I have LOW but keep restarting, I am looking to buy some GWF stuff to start but where do I start ? Do I get the COTG set or do I start with classics 2079 ?
Thanks for the help.
By the way I am looking to start from the beginning and work my way thru the storylines.
Thanks again. Larry

I forgot .....Would it be better to do the CPC or ACE first ? I need some opinions. I am looking to play an interesting storyline I can tweak but not change that gives a more imaginary approach than LOW. I will continue LOW but not as much.
Thanks, Larry

New Beginnings 2119. That's what I wouls start with. You could then jump into aCe with COTG ONLINE when it's released, and onto CPC when it goes on-line.

Most people 'round these parts might tell ya to start at the beginning and build up a "history". I say you can build just as much of a history by starting with 2119 and going from there, plus you have the added bonus of knowing what the hell the rest of us guys are talking about when we're fighting about how to book the newcomer. And you can be excited by whatever Tom does in the latest edition because you'll be a part of it!.
In a nutshell, start with New Beginnings.
As far as the CPC/aCe thing goes, aCe is easier to jump into right now. That might change when COTGonline gets going but for right now, aCe.

I'm especially fond of the first few original sets. Maybe thats just the 14 year old in me talking though.
Been looking through some of the 2119 and 2120 cards and there are definitely some cool wrestlers in those sets. Maybe my distain for wrestling these days is making me bias towards the NB stuff. Who knows.
It all depends on the type of fed you wanna run. 2087 mirrors wrestling from the late 80's while the NB stuff is more connected with the modern wrestling landscape.
I'm a mark for the CPC editions (2105-2108).

Do I get the COTG set or do I start with classics 2079 ? The Classics sets were written as a prequel, out of sequence from the beginning of Filsinger Games. In 1986, the game sold with the 2087 year, but the pre-history not yet filled. Classics sets started coming out in 1992 with 2079, as Tom weaved pre-history with the canon he had established.

It all depends on the type of fed you wanna run. 2087 mirrors wrestling from the late 80's while the NB stuff is more connected with the modern wrestling landscape. The older sets are also more basic and archaic with their stats. As the game matured, so did the sophistication of the card backs, with add-1s, roll finishers and such.
