to Vallah?
Ok, so I know Darkseed and Nightmare are back, and Godsend split from Murdok. But in 2119, Godsend went to Murdok to be in hiding from Vallah. Now a couple years later, he's out on his own, with no worries of Vallah sending him back to the Fourth Realm?
Why is that?

Vallah became aware of Sarkseed and tried to bring Paladin back to send him to face Godsend. But Maramus came out of nowhere (well, technically they were floating in space so really anywhere would be nowhere) and used his cosmic evil powers to shred Paladin into a million pieces.
IMO...good riddance. Heracles knock off...grrrrrrr
Maramus and Vallah then engaged in somce astral plane wrestling and the two cosmic giants ended up floating off into space, their powers seemingly cancelling each other out.
Felt a little like the first LOTR movie, where Gandalf falls into that hole with that demon and *eventually* comes back a changed being.
I would love to see an aCe graphic novel where some of these loose ends are wrapped up.

well, I'm a little rusty on my "supernatural" rules and regulations, but isn't an "Immortal" supposed to live forever? that's what I didn't get about Paladin being killed. And IMO, I think it sucked that he did, and I still use him in my aCe. I'm just wondering what really happened to Vallah, seems odd that he would be snuffed out so easily, being he's supposed to be this all powerful being and all? Like I said, I'm no "supernatural" guru at all, just wondering what the deal is? I thought maybe Osk would have some ideas or had given it some thought in that twisted mind of his!?!?

Disaster,
Have you read aCe 2120?
If not, SPOILERS below:
Vallah was never snuffed out. He and Maramus became involved in a one-on-one "cosmic battle." The two of them, being "Keepers" sorta cancel eachother out and they floated off into the depths of space, locked in eternal battle once again. They might or might not return.
As for the name "Immortal"...I don't think I even used that term. I believe that was simply a team name in the GWF - not a description of Second Realm type characters. To further justify Paladin's death in 2120 - he was killed AFTER leaving the Second Realm and appearing in the Third Realm (this Realm). He was destroyed by Maramus...a creature MUCH more powerful than any Second Realm character.
Hope this answers some of your questions.

I never really took the word "immortal" in this context to mean indestructible. I figure one "immortal" can knock off another, but no mortal can do the same. Maybe that contributes an iota or two to the discussion, I dunno.

Highlanders are immortal but there can be only one. Heehee, after Osk's response, I did think of the Highlander movie, where Immortals were knocking off each other. I did read 2120, but I guess I didn't quite grasp the two battle each other into deep space and not knowing if they'd be back. I mean, obviously Maramus is back, or Godsend wouldn't be wrestling, right? I mean, isn't Maramus and Godsend one and the same?

No. Godsend was Maramus' vessel into our realm.
The way Nightmare rides Darkseed into our realm in the latest game edition.

Am I the only one that pictured Gandalf-Saruman (sp?) from FOTR??? I think that fits more then the balrog, I always imagined they were like two wizards dueling.

I actually meshed both sets of LOTR imagery in my head when working on the Vallah vs. Maramus fight. As well as pinches of a bunch of other stuff. ~ :-Xsk
