IMO, the art is decent. I dunno, there is something about the pic thats turning me off. Although I like the idea of a second "angel" joining Exodus.
I don't know what it is, but I think the colored art in a sense takes a away something from the cards. With the black & White pics your imagination is allowed to run wild. I know everybody has their own opinions on what colors certain characters are supposed to be, and the precolored cards sorta kills that.
Although who am I kidding, I'm a huge fan of black and white comic books. I think the black &white style is far more styalized then color. just my opinion though.

I understand what you're saying, I do think for some guys, the color is a bit jarring.
I think, as a whole, its good. The Star Warrior on the profile is killer!

I am seriously considering getting COTGOnline just for aCe 2121. I am quite fond of the tabletop version and will probably never give it up to play online.
If 2121 isn't the last aCe edition, I may just become a permanent subscriber thanks to Kris and his amazing work on the aCe sets. Although I doubt I'll play much on it, since I prefer having the cards in front of me and rolling the dice myself. Hey, I'm a traditionalist, what can I say!
I guess we'll see. Maybe COTGOnline will be so awesome it will totally convert me. You never really know. I look forward to future developements. It's been a long time since I've been this excited about an official Filsinger Games product. I think since CPC 2108. So it's been a while.

And you can still print the cards so if you don't like COTGonline
you can always make your own cards and play the old better way
Or both if you feel like switching once in awhile

That would be what I would most likely do. I already have the cardstock, so all I'd need is some ink and I'd be all set. I just hope Ultimatum isn't aCe's swan song. |
