I should be getting my aCe sets in the mail either today or tomorrow. So when I get my hands on them and have a chance to look them over I'm gonna "shoot" on the sets.
I've been hearing great things about the quality of the aCe product and I am eager to see for myself. Hopefully I won't be let down.

I got the aCe sets yesterday afternoon and was able to look them over briefly before going into work.( work the B shift.:-() I can describe my first impressions in one word...awesome
When I get the chance I'll sit down and straight shoot my thoughts on the sets more thoroughly
I'm already seriously considering running an aCe fed, there are just so many over the top things I could do with this fed. It's just my style.
Nicodemus is prolly my favorite guy from 2119 with Sheppard coming in a close second.
Great stuff Kris..I'll let you guys know my thoughts in further detail in the near future.

I alss wanted to mention that Meteor is such a cool chaarcter, it's too bad he never got his just due in the GWF.
From substance abuse problems, to cleaning up his life and turning things around, to eventually becoming a flesh eating zombie. Noxious to say the least is pretty cool. ;D

I also forgot to pick up the new Murdok and Aegis cards. I'm such a bonehead. What set do those two cards officially become official? if its 2120, then I have time still to pick them up.
sorry..I'm done.:-)

What set do those two cards officially become official? if its 2120, then I have time still to pick them up. sorry..I'm done.:-) There's no real timeline for SE Murdok to come in. You could honestly run the new Murdok from the time you started up the aCe if you wanted to. I just kind of changed cards when I was ready and didn't make a big deal about it, because it's a pretty subtle (and logical) change. With Aegis, look at the story on the front page of COTGonline.com (Foley style cheap pop!). His new card comes into play mid-summer of 2120. It might make sense, since they're so closely intertwined with one another, to introduce their SE cards at the same time. But I'm not going to blame anyone who doesn't want to wait that long.

I'd also like to add that the art for the Murdok SE is quite possibly the best CoTG art, ever.
I've probably said so about a hundred times on these boards, but its worth repeating... Daryl Banks is the man!

here is my review for aCe 2119 : Battle for Centra.
The first thing that jumps out at you when you look through the 2119 booklet is the immense detail and care that is put into telling the story of how the aCe was formed and why everyone is involved. It's definitely a departure from the usual GWF handbooks as the aCe books will take a bit longer to read through and may require a few re-reads to fully grasp everything that has been packed into it. Character developement seems to be the the MO of the aCe sets as every character is given a background and a realistic reason to be involved in the "War". Not to mention it's packed full of zombies and monsters, you can never go wrong there. Am I right or am I right?
The first unique thing to pop out at you are all the cool card mechanics packed into 2119. Not to mention that the aCe titles themselves also have "machanics". It''s different and a change of pace. It all helps breath new life into Tom's system and can inspire many of use to push the boundries of card creation. Kris should get major props for thinking outside the box in terms of card generation, and I believe that that is what sets it apart from both the CPC and GWF. Now on to the wrestlers.
Shepard : Great art, cool background, amazing stats. His It's a wonder why Kris decided to throw this guy into a tag team with Scorch as he definitely has main event quality stats. One of my favorites from the set. The Shepard is the aCe's true guiding light. A
Scorch : This guy has some cool art, no doubt about it. I think he works great as a tag team wrestler, especially with Shepard, even though I believe Shpard would be better suited in singles competition. Overall, I have no complaints. B
Nemean : This is a guy who has a lot of potential to be fun to use, if you have the time to really explore the character. The art is good as well, but his stats will probably find him getting beat against the big boys more often than not. IN the end Nemean is a fun character. B
Flatliner : I love the makeover for Trench, however, I'm not a big fan of the art. Artwise I think he could of been so much better, as it is, I don't hate the character, and he will probably see more tag action than singles. C+
Jakyll & Krypt, Darkness Falls : These guys have a very cool tag name and great art. They really look like ravenous beasts. I can see these guys being a very good tag team in the aCe. B+
Noxious : Meteor turned flesh devouring zombie! Awesome. Meteor has really led a sad life, from substance abuse problems to this, the guy just can't catch a break. The art is tops, and the possible dynamic between him and at-Las is worth exploring. B+
Paganax : The Hethen Chief has probably the coolest card mechanic of the entire set and stat wise looks to be a beast. A-
General Rankor : I hate this guys' art. His nose is just...ugh, way to "big" looking. Probably my least favorite guy from the entire set. C
Nicodemus : My favorite guy from the 2119 set for sure. I love the art, I love the stats and the finisher is especially good. The fact that upon hitting it it sends surges of nuclear energy through the opponent's body makes it just too cool. A
Trisis: Artwise, not my favorite pic in the entire set, but not as bad as Rankor's. The fact that she is able to interfere in a match and infect the enemy with the plague is cool enough, now add to the fact that she is the undead wife of Aegis, and you have an angle waiting to happen. B-
Overall I really, really enjoyed this set. More so then I did NB 2119 and Subversion 2120. I'm really surprised more people haven't gotten into the aCe. But maybe the over the top sci fi elements put some people off. But if you can get past that...man, you are in for a real treat. Great characters, unique card mechanics, an indepth story, amazing character developement. It's pretty much got everything.
Overall : B+ on the verge of an A-. Best set I've got my hands on from Filsinger games in a long time. The aCe stuff is definitely worth purchasing COTGOnline for.
Up next I'll take a look at 2120 including the Godsend, Ventross, Aegis and Murdok SE cards and let you know what I think.

my review for aCe 2120 : Reinforcement :
2120 picks up where 2119 left off, continuing on the story of the war torn Dimension Y. In this edition Kris introduces even more interesting and fun characters and continues to push card mechanics beyond the breaking point. Storywise the edition holds up against aCe 2119 and the best Tom and the GWF has ever had to offer. Everything makes sense, even if it may require several re read to fully grasp. It's worth the time invested IMO.
The Talent :
Exodus : The star of 2120 without a shadow of a doubt. Banks did an amazing job with the art and statwise Exodus looks to have the potential to be a main event quality wrestler. There do appear to be a couple things on this card which could "hurt" Exodus in the long run (Ring C and the roll finisher) but he is otherwise too cool for words. A+
Tekaro : In every set there is that card that I just don't like. And Tekaro is the card in this edition. The art and stats are decent, but I honestly liked the character better as Corporal Tek. The redeeming value of the character is that his turn makes sense and helps continue to push the story along. For that I can't call Tekaro a complete waste. C
Avarice : Many promoters seem to really like this guy and I can see why. Banks again did an awesome job with the art and Kris has provided some very solid stats. His backstory is good and he should be a lot of fun to play. No cool card mechanics on the card though. Bummer. B
Hustler : Great name, great art, great stats. I absolutely love the Pistol Whip finisher. Not much else to say on this guy, other then he looks pretty street. :-) B+
Aspin Northstar : I don't know how others feel about this guy but I definitely dig his art. His stats reflect the fact that he is very green when it comes to wrestling, but I actually think he has tons of potential to pull all sorts of upsets. His roll finisher though really hurts him from my perspective. I hope he gets an update in 2121. B
Sycophant : This is by far the sickest guy in the entire set. I absolutely love the mechanic with Asphyxiation and Molestation and greatly look forward to using him in 2120. He fits perfectly with Painmaster in my eyes and has been written in very well. Does anybody else see this guy as a former "snuff" film actor? haha. A-
Gheist : Another cool character concept by Kris. I think the art could be better but the stats hold up nicely. B+
Hybrid : Your stereotypical geneitcally altered freak of nature. But Kris pulls it off so well. Not much to say about this guy as I am definitely mixed on my feelings of this guy. Storywise he makes a lot of sense and helps build the tension between Ventross and Nicodemus, not to mention Paganax and Rankor. So for that, he rocks pretty hard. B
The S.E. Cards :[/u]
Aegis : Amazing art by Banks as always. I don't think I've evefr seen a pic by Banks that I didn't like. The new stats are cool and the mechanic with the body armor definitely seems to make Aegis a real threat. A-
Ventross : Again, stellar art. Ventross truly looks like a mad Ravager, and someone you'd not want to get on the bad side of. B+
Murdok : IMO, probably the best COTG card of all time. The art is PERFECT, and the stats stay true to Murdok with the addition of the extra "zombie" interference. I love this card, amazing job by Kris and Banks. A++
Godsend : What can I say but wow. Speak of the Devil is the most unique card mechanic going and pic wise, I can't complain. Godsend retains that angelic like visage, with the evil undertones. A+
Overall aCe 2120 along with the 4 SE cards provides some of the best artwork ever seen in the COTG universe. It also showcases some of the coolest and most original card mechanics around. Anybody who hasn't at least checked out aCe is seriously missing out on one of Filsinger Game's crowning achievements. Thanks to Kris I am once again a big fan of the official product and look forward to COTGOnline, if only to get a chance to check out aCe2121 : Ultimatum.
Overall : A
Is it just me or is Banks probably thee greatest COTG artist of all time. I haven't seen a bad piece of artwork from this guy!

I'm humbled by the kinds words, DMK. Very glad you enjoyed the cards and story as much as you did.
It was rad to finally see a Sycophant fan! ;D
I completely agree with your take on Banks as being the best COTG artist ever. No doubt about it.
Just WAIT until you see what's in store for 2121.

The new Murdok card is absolutely amazing. Lance At-Las should be on the top of the stack since he is the reigning aCe champion. But Murdok currently occupies the spot because the art is just so damn cool.
I seem to find myself just staring at it for no apparent reason.
