Using my time machine, I checked it out. The second transevolver is on sale at galactic-ebay.com! And it's going for A LOT of Galactic Credits! There must be a few beings in the galaxy that really want one! ;D
By the way, Tom Filsinger IX says hello.

As a writer, I've gotta just say discussions like this are always fun. You guys find the smallest detail of something that we considered unimportant at the time and it has the potential to become a controversy (not saying this particular topic will, but the 'Who's Bloodline's Daddy?' one did).
Trust me, guys. If it's been that freakin' long and the writer's never said anything else about it, consider it resolved "off-stage."
We'll never know everything about the universes we write about because we don't live there.
But I applaud the thinking that goes into this. Shows that people care a lot about what they're reading and want things to be resolved. And if you think they should be, by all means, create the resolution yourself. We've got a ton of creative types out there making their own feds click along, and I'm always impressed by what folks come up with.
Now to go look through past CPC handbooks and find out what I'm gonna get nailed on...

I've been mentioning him, haven't I? Didn't the back of the CPC 2121 handbook say coming in 2122 was the return of Saboteur? He's been mentioned all through the time he's been gone. And there's a reason why he's been gone for that long that will be revealed in 2122. Patience, OT. Patience. I may not be genius, but I do know a plot when it smacks me upside the head. back atcha.

I'll end the controversy about the second Transevolver now.
I bought it at Tom's annual garage sale in Jamestown a few summers back, and I have been using it as a coffee maker. It brews a strong and delicious cup of coffee that warms you up nice on a cold winter's morning.
Mmmm... that's Transerrific!

Not to hijack this thread, but I went back and reread Saboteur's last words. Pretty much stated he can only count on himself and not weak team members. If there was ever a time for a one man army in the CPC now is the perfect time for Saboteur to reappear and not have to write him into any groups.

Dude, I'm well aware Sabatour is coming in the next set. It's not so hard to believe some people (including myself) feel he could have resurfaced long ago...
best I remember, for the past several years, every time a CPC set has come out the masses have been clamoring for his return...
now all these years later, you are bringing him back, which is great.
But it's not hard to believe a lot of people thought he could have come back sooner, which is the only reason I made mention of it.
That's it.

I know. And I'm aware of the time lag. But when I came up with the story arc, sets were coming out twice a year. That changed shortly after, which is contributing to the length of the resolution. I actually thought about doing it in 2121 because I had the same feeling as you do, but as big as this story's going to be, I didn't want it to overshadow what was going on with Species in '19 and '20 and the big team blowup announcement in '21. It needs to have its own moment in the sun. Trust me.
What can I say? I'm a planner. Tom's more of an improviser. It's where we each are comfortable. If I tried to do it any other way than I do, I don't think it would work as well.
Besides, if 2122 is the final official CPC set, won't that be a great way to go out?
