I mentioned this briefly in another thread, but it makes send to discuss it here...
1) Gatekeeper, who professes to be the guardian of the paths between realms, has dissappeared from the GWF
2) Said paths have been breached several times in Centra..
Co-incidence? Discuss...

Sign me up, Wildfire! You're all full of good ideas.
From a storyline perspective, it makes total sense. With Valour safely stuck where he is for the time being, The Gatekeeper could very easily just have to vanish to go deal with the threat to Vallah's seal that Godsend poses, especially with Vallah's disappearance.
From a card perspective, I think he fits in pretty well. He's not too powerful for the aCe, and would slot in really well as an upper midcarder. He's got the potential to beat most anyone, and could easily lose to just about anyone, too. If this is where Tom and Kris end up going with that story, I'd be pleased.

I used Gatekeeper in my aCe fed when I got his card...he just seemed like a natural fit. Then I restarted my aCe fed and then finally after a whopping two cards, I quit playing it altogether. But by that time, I was almost done with 2120 so for me, Gatekeeper only wrestled in five matches in my GWF.
So, I think he's a good fit for aCe and if I even play it again, I may put him in. Good discussion possibilities with this post.

Great idea. I think he could definitely be part of the story where the paths between dimensions are once again put under control of Vallah. And if its not an *official* storyline, its a good use for the character.

With a member of the First Realm (Exodus) and the Fifth Realm (Godsend) currently duking it out on Centra, it would make sense for a presence to be there to help keep a balance. I would not be surprised if Gatekeeper becomes a fixture on aCe in 2121.
Especially if Godsend decides to call upon Nightmare, who I'm willing to bet he can still summon...

What edition is Nightmare in? Also, could Godsend bring in Blazing Skull to his team?
Thanks guys.

Nightmare is in Revelations 2115.
As far as Blazing Skull goes, I am not sure if he can be summoned by Godsend or not. I want to say no because 1) If he is from the Fourth Realm, he will not survive transport to Dimension Y, and 2) If he is from Brymstone, his departure will not be possible without arousing suspicion or alarm.
Still, I have been proved wrong before. But I really don't see Blazing Skull coming back anytime soon. As a character, he's kind of played out.

Skull I think is gone for good. Gatekeeper...that would be interesting, we';ll have to see what wheels are turning in Kris's mind.

Hmm.. no comment from Mr. Osk... wonder what that means... Anyway, I was picturing Gatekeeper in his own "facton" or maybe alone, feuding with Godsend AND Exodus... (trying to encourage them to go back to their own realms) He could even have a team, if the war is breaking into smaller factions, he could lead a "centra for centrans" group that look to remove supernatural influences from the dimension. .. maybe with Lance At-Las and an updated Rouser. (No charge for the ideas if any one wants to use it)

These are all good ideas.... but Messiers Osk and Filsinger have been known to shock us with storylines. I wouldn't go writing Gatekeeper into my aCe or GWF at this point without knowing where they're going with it.
My personal guess is that we have not seen the last of the Gatekeeper- from a storyline perspective at least, if not an actual return to the ring.

I agree... Gatekeeper's awfully good (stats and art anyway) for a quick one year thing... At least I hope so

I believe Tom has an idea for Gatekeeper- he was too important to 2120 to just be a one shot.
Going to aCe would provide some great matches....

I too think the Gatekeeper would work well in ACE, with or without a team

That's whats interesting about this idea, he could be a heel (and go after Exodus) a face (and go after Godsend) or a tweener and go after both...heck maybe he could even go after Nicodemus (I suspect that the essence is from a higher realm, so if this is the case)
That leaves... the Primus team.. hmm Avarice and Gatekeeper as a team.... *drool*

I think that it would be cool to see The Gatekeeper as a loner, who was clearly going after both Godsend and Exodus to get them back to where they belong. I'd like to see his only interest in the Essence to be in keeping it out of their hands.

When I read that Gatekeeper had disappeared from the GWF, I immediately put him in the aCe to use. He just seemed a natural fit.
