I have the Ringside Companion with the Lava Pits match in it, but not the original handbook it was in. In the RC it says that there was a special advantage for Grovel in the match when it was actually on Primus, but back in the GWF's home dimension that didn't exist anymore. Does anyone know or remember what that advantage was?

On rolls 2-3 and 5 the primitives will not attack Grovel and he automatically gets the advantage. I would expand that to include any of the tribesmen of Primus now.

Thanks, Mark!
Yep, that's what I was thinking - that I'd extend it to Paganax and his Ilk. Now I just have to decide if I want to extend it to other members of the team like Rankor, Flatliner, and so on, or just the actual TP members.

I think I'd extend it to the whole team... assuming Paganax wants it to be so...there way be reasons he wouldn't though... could be part of the plot

That's what I was thinking. My only real problem with that would have been with Flatliner given all of the pain he's inflicted on the Tribesmen, but as long as I don't book him in one of those matches I don't have to make a decision on that. Nothing like avoiding the problem!

My thinking is that they'd still only help the other tribesmen. These are primitives who wouldn't differentiate between friend or foe if they're not part of one of the tribes. It'd be fun to book one of these with Rankor or Flatliner and have them get surprised by the fact that the tribespeople attack them, too.

I don't think they're quite that dumb. Flatliner I see as a problem because they recognize him as an enemy, which is pretty clear from the 2120 handbook, but many of them have quite possibly taken orders from Rankor in his service to Paganax, so I think he'd be alright.
I'll probably go ahead and extend the advantage to Rankor, and just avoid putting Avarice and Flatliner in a Lava Pits match. At least until (and if) the Judas Syndicate breaks away.

Heck, a lava pit match could be what makes the syndicate break away...Paganax assured them they'll help Avarice, and they don't, costing him a big win, could have possibilities..
