Hi guys -
Anyone else feel like the tag division is kinda thin, especially for 2119?
Granted, in my fed I'm essentially not using the Specialists (Shepard is too good solo), but still.
It seems like once all the changes for 2120 get in, it'll be fine, but there just isn't that many teams before that...

The tag team division in 2119 is thin, but there are only 20 wrestlers.

Give it time - new sets always start with thin tag team ranks. As new sets come about, there will be more team options for you to play with. I remember the first two sets of GWF being thin, but in time, you get more to play with. It will be ok!
Besides, if you need more wrestlers or teams, make some up! There are TONS of zombies out there to throw into the ring... literally!

The tag ranks defiantely get more interesting in 2120. However, the division in my fed mostly exists as fodder for the Specialists, who I believe are more fun as a team than they are as singles guys.

I feel your pain, Wildfire. With the point I'm at in transitioning over to 2120, my only regular tag teams are The Specialists, Resurrection, and Darkness Falls, along with what I consider the "part-time" teams of Holy Crusade and Heroes United. I don't see Shepard and Scorch losing the belts for quite some time in my fed.
I think it will be a ton better once I finish rolling out 2120, though, with the seven regular tag teams from the book plus all of the other options (Godsend/Murdok, Paganax/Rankor, any combination of Rankor/Avarice/Flatliner, Ventross/Warfare, and so on).
Edit: I wanted to add that I really like Darkness Falls - they might be my all-time favorite Not Gladiator team. They've got cool moves, a neat finisher, and they talk in grunts. Good stuff there. It's too bad they can't buy a win in my fed.

I agree with you assessment of Darkness Falls... problem is in my fed Krypt has been injured, so its been SWAT team, Ressurection, and whatever two guys I throw together... its like WWE. I am in the process of moving the 2120 guys in, so that will probably do it

I've just kind of circumvented the injuries in my aCe, and mostly out of necessity due to the small 2119 roster size. If a wrestler is injured, he'll typically still fight through the pain considering what's at stake, and I just apply the penalties from the Ringside Companion. He's not unavailable until he gets injured a second time while still nursing an earlier injury, at which point he's unavailable for competition until one of the injuries has healed entirely. It's helped to keep the roster from getting too lean.

Abit thin , but okay . What frustrates me more ? . I can not get a good tag team title reign coming . Nearly every 1st defence someone beats the champions . They are getting passed around like a hot cheese jacket spud .

It's helped to keep the roster from getting too lean. I've been doing that too actually, but for the long injuries, I have them miss a while. Part of it is that aCe, sort of by definition, has ALOT of injuries. I think that's part of the flavor of the fed, as is wrestling hurt. There's a limit though, or injuries begin to have no meaning, IMO. In my fed, Ventross is out for a while (he had 3 injuries on top of each other, the 3rd for 11 cards) While Krypt is almost back (he's wrestling a bit) On top of that, Nicodemus, Nemean, Aegis and Flatliner all have minor injuries (it hasn't been a good time to be a Ravager) OTOH, it making adding the new guys easy

The tg team ranks in aCe are a bit thin, but in my fed there pretty exciting as well. Lately Psychophant and The Master have been dominating the tag ranks as they are the champs. But they've almost been beaten alot of times, but pulled out a win,so they have alot of heat.I think all the tag teams in the aCe are pretty evenly matched which makes for a better tag division.

There's MN.. no they broke up... but theres Kane and.. nope, they split... but there's the Spirit Squad.. there's 5 of them, so they could be two teams! That's it!

Definately agree that the teams there are are pretty even, I really like that, I must say.

I don't know that I agree that they're even, at least in 2119. I think that The Specialists are head and shoulders above the other "regular" tag teams. In my fed they've pretty well owned Resurrection and Darkness Falls, and The SWAT Team awas a little disappointing before Flatliner went crazy and the team was no more.

I admit I didn't use the Specialists much, but they are winless in my fed.. I think the SWAT team are really good... Both guys have big finishers, and Warfare is a real force.

Specialists did well for me. In 2120, everyone's about even.

I really expect good things from Sycophant and Master once I actually get around to unleashing Sycophant. I'm hoping that they can be the ones to bring balance to the aCe tag team division ... or something like that.
By the way - thanks for getting the topic going, Wildfire. It was starting to get dusty in here.

Well, you'd expect a bit of dust, since 2120 isn't new, and its a looonnnngg time until 2121...
I've been trying to pace my cards (playing only every couple weeks) so that I don't sorta finish with the fed, then not play for a long time.
Since I'm playing EC (which is really my "main'' fed), 2120 (which I've sorta lost interest in, but the new set might change that) , LOW (which is very on-off for me) and WGX (which I just started... I'm doing some expirmenting with regions and such to see what would work with Legends, which I may go back to at some point)
