To be honest...while I don't have the sets, Tom may frown upon that. You may ask him, but I'd say he wouldn't take to kindly to that. It's like getting the set for free....
Thats just it I'm only looking for the artwork, not the stats. Will get the cards themselves for ACE in a couple of months. The simulator I use is a booking sim called TEW and I just need the pics.
Of the cards released I really only need a few Tom has already posted about half of them.
(These are the ones I haven't seen) HYBRID, SYCOPHANT, ASPIN NORTHSTAR, VENTROSS
Thanks in advance to anyone that can help with this.
Tom spent money on commisioning the artist for the artwork. He (Tom) deserves to be paid for his investment. If you want the artwork, contact Tom and BUY THE GAME EDITIONS!!!!!

Dharneth, just wait for the artwork when you get the sets. No one is going to send them to you here.
When some jamook asks me where I get my ideas, I always smile prettily and answer, "Schenectady." And when the jamook looks at me quizzically, and scratches head with hairy hand, I add: "Oh, sure. There's a swell Idea Service in Schenectady; and every week I send 'em twenty-five bucks; and every week they send me a fresh six-pack of ideas." - Harlan Ellison

I think that's what I was trying to get across Mr JF, but being nice. I don't think he realizes how much Tom pays for the artwork for those sets.
I remember seeing a quote from Tom stating that at Galacticon a couple years ago, Hannibal King would do artwork for promoters for $20, which as Tom said, "is a lot cheaper than I pay for it". (I could be wrong though on that price, but it seems right)
Let's go for $20 on each card drawn (and it isn't including if the artwork isn't used, but an artist gets paid....but that's to technical). 10 new cards in a set. Bam...that's $200 bucks right there. But you have to take into account production costs, paying "Mr. Hoffa", printing costs, etc.
That adds up and Tom isn't a huge corporation....I'd say more of a "mom and pop organization".
Remember, Tom could have ended this game a few years ago, but didn't. I think we should all support him in that...

As someone who knows something of the process, though not the exact amounts Tom pays for art (and it can vary from artist to artist, I think), $200 is definitely low.
Hey, does anyone want to send me free furniture for my new apartment? I just need a bed, a dresser, a sofa, three chairs, a coffee table, an entertainment center and a dining room set. I won't use any of it, I just want my apartment to look nice.
Oh, and can someone also please send me a free case of beer. I promise I won't drink it, just want to look at it.

You know I understand the argument. Sarcasm from some of the posters aside, I can get the scans from other sources, it was just easier to ask here.
that's fine but don't be surprised to to Chris Ingersol track your IP address and turn your name into Tom, if not the authorities themselves. You're stealing. You do understand that right?
Your taking this a little to far aren't you Swarm. I'm not trying to pick a fight with anyone, and last time I asked Tom for a pic he said that he would be glad to send it to me if he had had it on his computer at the time.
To me its not any different than tracking them down on a site that someone puts them up on. Like I said earlier, most of the pics I have on the computer I got from the main cotg site itself .
Of the aCe 2120 set there are only 4 pics that I didn't get from the news section of his site. Its not that big a deal to me, if I can spare the extra cash I'll oreder the sets to play aCe COTG style, but I am using the COTG wrestliers for a booking/promoter sim and don't currently need a full card.

Dharneth, no offense intended, but you're asking for free artwork for something that is available for purchase on the very website you are posting on. Think about it. For those of us who spent the time and money to purchase the set AND get the money to Filsinger Games so they can continue to make these sets, that is very insulting.
For everyone else, anyone who wants beer & BBQ - see me about it. I hope to get my grill started in July. I think my starter fuel will be available for auction!
Burn baby burn!!!

Alright guys, consider this a formal appology for what seems to be a rash mistake on my part in asking for something I didn't feel that people would have a problem with.
I enjoy these boards even if I don't post alot,.
I am going forth and ordering my aCe as of friday, have to do it the slow way so its still going to be a wait, but then I can have all 3 feds current in 2120 and await Subversion 2121 in July.

Not a problem, man. Like a lot of boards, there will be disagreements and people who feel very strongly about things. I ain't gonna rehash the thread, but this was one of those things. We said our peace, and now we move on with the fun!
And thanks for ordering the set. That's the right way to do it, and I'm glad you did it.

It was more of a joke as well...please don't take it serious and keep posting.
