As most of you know my fed in the fed forum is up to August of 2119, and I've played up to December of that year....I was hoping to be well into 2120 by now, but a new job, moving and some other real life stuff (IE stuff that is way less fun than the GWF) conspired to keep me away from the game for the last few months.
Now things have settled down and I've been able to get back to the game I love. I've just started adding 2120 characters to my fed and in the next week or so I should play out my last few cards of 2119. All that said, today I cracked open the booklet for 2121 and gave it a read.
I've been a fan of Tom's work all along, but the stuff here...wow. I'm amazed at some of the things I'm seeing. I'm seeing characters that have so much life that they leap off the page....yet they are still written broadly enough to allow me to give them a unique personality of my own. As a part time writer myself, I know that's very hard to do.
The characters are all amazing. Monolith...what more can be said? Dead Ringer adds a great mystery man to the fed....and Mother Superior and Sultana are making me (a self professed hater of women's wrestling) rethink dumping my women's title!
So while I know most of you were gushing like this 6 months back or so, I figured I'd jump on the caboose of the bandwagon. Those who are in my boat (IE trying your darndest to not bring Monolith in early) share your pain. Those who are caught up and have enjoyed this set, give a little insight into what you've enjoyed from the set, and maybe what has surprised you about the set.
Thanks guys!
