Hello Promoters,
First off I would like to officially introduce myself to the GWF community.
My name is Jeff Gutherz.
Over the last year I had the honor and privilege to be given the opportunity to expand and contribute to Tom Filsinger’s brilliant Champions of the Galaxy product, when I co-wrote along with Kris Osk “COTG:GENESIS.”
Before I continue, I would like to take a moment and thank once again Werner Mueck, Mike Melesky, Hannibal King, and of course Tom Filsinger for all their important contributions to Genesis. Also, anyone that has ever given Genesis your time and expressed their thoughts on the story on this bulletin board or elsewhere, or pretty much anyone that has ever just bought the book, thank you.
Don’t worry.
I’m not about to try to get Genesis or myself ‘over’…
But I do feel compelled to give my ‘official’ and public support to my writing partner and life-long friend; the creative force behind aCe 2119: BATTLE FOR CENTRA, Kris Osk.
After working with Kris on Genesis and baring witness to the day-to-day progression of aCe 2119, I knew that this project would be a perfect opportunity for Kris to use his talented skills for writing cutting edge storylines and creating original and intriguing characters in the realms of science fiction and horror.
Basically, I just wanted to say that I am really proud that his work on Centra has been so well received. Kris’s new characters are awesome and usage of Tom’s already established characters are fantastic as well! And just like what others have written on the bulletin board, his inventive concepts of wrestler moves impacting specific alien races differently and the idea that the titleholder holds an advantage over their challenger because of the Essence are truly pioneering.
This game genuinely is up to the same standard of excellence set by Tom and Mark and then further sets itself apart with its clever innovations like the Essence.
I’ve known the guy for along time and I know I’m biased, but it has been a real pleasure to see my friend get a chance to use his unique and twisted creativity on a project that fits him like a glove. It also has been a pleasure to lend a hand when needed, as well. But make no mistake, although apart from a few move names and minor suggestions, aCe 2119 is all Kris, Tom, and Jeremy.
So, for those that haven’t bought aCe 2119: BATTLE FOR CENTRA, do yourself a favor and go get to the online store and pick yourself up a copy (while you’re at it…you might as well add Genesis to your order).
As far as this ‘other Genesis guy’…
Hopefully you’ll be hearing from me soon.
Currently, Mike Melesky and I have been brainstorming on another project for the COTG universe that would definitely be HARDCORE! We are just waiting for that “green light” from Tom…
Anyway, go buy aCe! To steal a line…”It’s Just That D*** Good!”
Until Screw rips off his mouth plate to tell everyone “Suck It!”…
