Former Champions

One thing that always bothered me was how bad former MMA champions get treated. It really kills all these fighters saying they "WANT THE TITLE". What they really mean is they want the monies. Where is the lasting glory for pre Zuffa champions? (You get an IFL team and you used to get a nice payday from Pride. )

Can anybody name a few KOTC champions or what title Chuck Liddel held before the UFC lhw title?

Whats the worth of being a former champion nowadays?
