I'm picking Penn first round stopage over GSP.
I think Franklin with beat the Crow but i have no idea how or when. Other than that I'm just happy to wait and see.

It's tomorrow night boys. The best I'll do is make outright picks:
Rich Franklin Vs. David Loiseau
The Champ retains
Georges St. Pierre Vs. BJ Penn
Gun to the head I'll have to go with Penn...he just has this killer instinct and 'never say die' vibe about him.
Nate Marquardt Vs. Joe Doerksen
Doerksen
Mike Swick Vs. Steve Vigneault
This will be the padding up of Swick's record
Yves Edwards Vs. Mark Hominick
YE
Rob MacDonald Vs. Jason Lambert
I'm not fan of RM so I'm going with Lambert
Tom Murphy Vs. Christophe Midoux
TM was another bland TUF guy I just didn't like...I'll go with Midoux out of spite!
Spencer Fisher Vs. Sam Stout
Fisher
Like Watching Paint Dry (who's fiance will happily watch UFC and Pride...but gives me funny looks when I watch pro wres)

I was blown away by the ppv. Rich has some amazing heart and determination. To continue with a broken hand for (4 rounds?) is pretty damn awe inspiring.
As for Penn's fight... I could sware I saw a few eye pokes (more blatent than Chuck... . I was still rooting for him when he did it.. I'm just being honest). I guess GSP really has earned his title shot. Heh darn and i was about to pick Penn as the ufc Fedor.. back to the drawing board.
I was really suprised by yves edwards fight.. kinda ironic he got beat by someone who had to move up in weight... (that's just messed up).

How about the way Yves got tapped? Wow. Hominick sat with the triangle in place for what seemed like forever before he went with it. I think Yves just didn't think he'd go for it.... if I was in a fight and someone had a leg draped over the back of my head like that I'd want it gone.
Rich was a beast. Louiseau didn't do anything but thorw big kicks, but is very tough. I thought the Penn/GSP should have been a draw (10-8/9-10/9-10) but if someone had to win according to the rules it had to be GSP. Neither really impressed.
Marquardt looked solid.. I picked him, but I was rooting for Doerkson. The next PPV sounds exciting!

The show was well worth the money. Penn busted up GSP pretty bad in the first but other than cosmetics I don't think he did enough to earn a 10-8 in that round. Clear 10-8's would be what Franklin was doing to DL.
Overall I'd give the stand up to Penn. Grappling wise a slight edge to GSP due to the takedowns (although he never even passed BJ's guard or came close to a sub). I'd have to give aggression and control slightly to GSP. Penn's best round was the first before slightly stepping down his intensity while GSP was steady throughout. That coupled with the 'eye poke' controversy probably swayed the judges. Regardless Penn has nothing to be ashamed of and GSP has definitely gone above and beyond at this point in earning another shot at the the WW title. The rematch with Hughes (provided Royce doesn't pull the upset) should be incredible.
Franklin showed complete dominance against someone I didn't think he would dominate. He's cutting 25 lbs just to 'fit in' as he walks around naturally at 210. The size advantage combined with his well rounded attack makes him a very powerful/unorthodox force in the division. That he finished 3 more rounds with a broken hand against someone at the level of The Crow and _STILL_ took home a decisive victory is impressive. I think we'll eventually see him step up a weight class.
Like Watching Paint Dry (who would love to see a Swick-Leben rematch...my money would be on Swick)
