Just curious as to your favorite fights.
Mine:
# 4. Tie-- Randy Couture v Tito Ortiz and Fedor v Nog II- The dismantling of Chamions. Both fights saw the fall of the belt holder by way of a tremendous beating. The difference is Ortiz is an idiot and I was that glad Couture handed (and even spanked) his rear end. Nog seemed like a good guy and champion.. No matter what he tried to do, Fedor had an answer. The frustration at the end of the fight as he kneeled in the ring face down was made me feel bad for him.
#3. Dan Severn v Anthony Macias- My first ever MMA fight, I saw this back in the Spring of 1994 after ry Rangers were on their way to winning Lord Stanley's Cup. As a big prowrestling fan, i was totally sold on the sport when Severn double back suplexed Macias. I distinctly remember jumpinig out of my seat, bouncing up and down yelling "Holy F@#&*%g S@#t!"
#2. Hughes v Trigg II- What a roller coaster of emotions this one took you on! Regardless of who you were cheering for, there were ups and downs for both guys. Good hard strikes, good submissions and even the Alabama Slam! I think one of the Sherdog writers said it best with: :There is tough, then there is Matt Hughes."
#1. Fedor v Randleman- I am a big sucker for throws. I love 'em and cannot get enough of 'em This fight had the greatest throw I have ever seen! I get so excited ever time I watch it (which is quite often!) I am amazed at the the whole sequence of Randleman's pick up, pivoting of hips and spin to land on his stomach, to Fedor's ability to absorb the thunderous drop and actually seem BORED that he had to be on defense! The fact that ten seconds after the throw Fedor is on top is unbelievable!! The fact that Fedor wins in insane!!!
