I was wondering something. How many actual titles are worth a damn in MMA today. Any UFC or Pride title is without question worth merit and noting. The reason I ask this is I noticed a few top ranked washouts are actually still holding a titles somewhere!

How many titles does some of the current champions still hold?
I think Chuck Liddel still has the IFC heavyweight title.
I wonder if Heath Herring has any

The Shooto titles have a lot of value in my opinion. They have a lot of great fighters who have challenged and held their belts. If they had the financial backing that PRIDE, K-1 or UFC has, then they would have the majority of the best flyweight, lightweight and welterweight fighters in MMA. Since they don't, they are only going to be seen as a step below the UFC Welterweight and PRIDE Lightweight titles.
